I’m at Shadeland Ave sitting next to the first tree planted in Indianapolis by Governor David Wallace (1837–1840).
The city has done a tremendous job preserving history and nature while urbanizing. 🌳😂
Thank you, @IndyDPW
Hey @grok can you make this look a little like a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree?
I’ll take things that never happen for $500, Alex. 😂
The @IndyGoBus CEO says women may choose IndyGo over @Uber or @lyft because they don’t want to be alone in a car with a driver. 🤔

.@IndyCouncil Councilor Perkins is talking about exploring taxpayer funding for universal pre-K for potentially 22,000–26,000 children in Indianapolis. We can’t even keep up with basic city services, but we’re looking to take on another massive expense?
Homer Simpson works at a nuclear power plant. They do not release carbon dioxide, traditional air pollutants or burn fossil fuels.
It’s hard to believe that @IndyGoBus has the power to take private property through eminent domain to build a bus line, a power granted by the Indiana General Assembly.
Public transit accounts for just 1.4% of workers’ commutes in Indianapolis. Now, IndyGo is seeking authorization to acquire additional properties for the Blue Line.
A public hearing is scheduled for November 19.
⚠️ @IndyDPW is decorating the city for Halloween. 🎃 Rowan Court is scary. 😱 #backtothebasics
My daughter and I went inside the Soldiers and Sailors Monument today. Apparently, it’s only open on Fridays, so if you haven’t had a chance to check it out, you should.
It took 13 years to build and was completed in 1901. The monument serves as Indiana’s official memorial to Hoosiers who served in the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Mexican War, Civil War, Frontier Wars, and Spanish-American War.
It is only 15 feet shorter than the Statue of Liberty. 🗽
We also visited the Indiana War Memorial. We have a grandfather that served in the 32nd IND Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see the regiment’s flag because it’s kept in the archives. I was hoping to update the picture I took of it 20 years ago.
I did not drag my daughter. She actually likes history stuff. 🇺🇸
How is she going to handle going to Indianapolis for session if she is already missing her children on the campaign trail? Natasha Baker @INDems Sen District 22 Candidate.
