Good thing the Hawks' starters were able to play the final 6 minutes there while down 20 the whole time. Great use of rotations.

Dyson, CJ and Okongwu all in the positive tonight but have played a whopping 22 minutes while Houston is prepared to play its main guys nearly 40.

Already sick of Lu Dort.

Do the Rockets ever rest their starters?

All of Jalen's shots look flat.
90
Okongwu has had absolutely no impact to start the season.

Can't make a jumper and terrible officiating, not gonna win games like this.

Just sit CJ for the night. Shouldn't play B2B's anyway.

RT @MikeConti929: A bizarre season-opening win for the Hawks tonight, defeating the Magic 130-125 in a three hour game that included 57 fou…

IDK what has happened since, I'm five minutes into Wizards-Bucks. But in those five minutes Trae Young has gotten backcut by Jaime Jaquez for an and-one, given up a post-seal bucket to Jaquez, then tried to draw a foul on a 3, airballed leading to a runout dunk for Jaquez. yikes

This was quality sports television. Somehow, the same network also produced shows that completely hurt the world of sports.
Pardon the announcement...join us Thursday, October 22nd at 5PM ET for our 25th anniversary special!

I don't care about being a "bad fan," and neither do the majority of people. They will be interested when the team they like plays meaningful games.
Replying to @Tyler__Duke
They already had a reason dipshit it was THEIR TEAM. If you weren’t watching your team in the cheez it bowl you are a bad fan

I couldn't tell you a single thing about this game and neither could 90% of regular CFB fans. The CFP cares about keeping the attention of casual CFB fans who want their program to play meaningful games more often, not diehards who will watch anyway.

This was 4 years ago and better than any single 12 team playoff game

It does not rock when 95% of programs' seasons are over in October.
Just thinking about how crazy it is that College Football keeps eliminating your room for error The best programs get chance after chance after chance to make the Playoff now. Losses don’t mean as much. The rivalry showdown meaning your season is made or dead continues to drown… It’s just sad We used to watch these gladiators need to be near perfect week in and week out just to have a chance at the crown. That rocked

24-team @CFBPlayoff reax: --It enhances conference races. Sure, a team can clinch in mid-November but the days of Michigan-Ohio State being for the Big 10 title were damn exciting. That last happened 20 years ago. Those days return. --A 24-team field lessens the influence of the selection committee. Boiling it down to simplest element -- if you're ranked, you're in. (With exceptions, of course) The committee is essentially left to seed. --More on-campus playoff games. Yes, please. --There will be 50 teams (at least) in competition for the CFP each Nov. 1. That will drive interest, ratings and attendance. --The regular-season won't be impacted negatively. We've been hearing that refrain since the BCS. Texas-Oklahoma, Michigan-Ohio State, Auburn-Alabama, are still/will still be huge. So will Alabama-Georgia, BYU-Utah, Alabama-Tennessee, Notre Dame-Miami. Think of the interest at Duke, Arizona, Oklahoma State, Minnesota right now if a 24-team field existed. --To that point, the requirement for each of the P4 to play 10 P4 games will mean MORE of those types of games. The system now can support 9-3, even 8-4 teams. That's the reason SEC coaches reluctantly added a ninth conference game. This is their vision to (further) dominate the bracket realized. --The SEC and Big Ten will probably continue to get 75% of the field in some years (18 total). That's sort of the case now. --I think we all agree there are too many bowls. Bowl season will survive. A 24-team playoff will no doubt cull the herd. But what would you rather see, the Pop Tarts Bowl or the same matchup in a first-round game in the CFP with a national title at stake? --What's wrong with the odds doubling of say, Western Kentucky, hanging a "College Football Playoff first-round" banner in its practice facility? That's a good thing. -30-
