DO YOUR FAMILY GENEOLOGY. I just found ancestors in 1660 that were Native American tobacco farmers that owned land NEXT TO the earliest white settlers in Virginia. They most likely taught those white settlers how to farm the land. 100 years later, that family was reclassified to Negro and pushed off their land by new white settlers.
