Really impressive defense from Reaves here
-good initial screen navigation to stay in-phase with George after the ballscreen
-doesn’t bite on the stepback fake
-right arm in perfect position and he generates a steal when George exposes the ball and brings it back down to waist

N*ggas was really worried about maxing him when he would have changed Cade’s broke ass life in DET

Luka 52 points, 10 assists, 8 rebounds, 2 steals... just took the game over after the first quarter. Two killer 3s and an assist for Reaves 3 in last two and a half minutes to seal the win.
Lakers improve to 3-0, but this one took a LOT to get there.

Among all Laker wing defenders...Austin Reaves with the best (only) real pick-and-roll defense and stop on George.

Rough that neither Looney nor Vando can play in a game where the Lakers are killed on the glass, Kessler in foul trouble and the Lakers giving up so much size. This roster needs more size desperately.

Look at @JamesWorthy42 making @SpectrumSN history with his first-ever halftime “Worthy Clap” after the Lakers erased an 18-point first quarter deficit to lead at intermission! AK

Thanks largely to Reaves (15 points in 7 minutes of the 2nd) and a pair of above-the-break 3's from Williams, the Lakers are right back in this one, down 62-55 with 4:30 left in the 2nd Q after trailing by 18 earlier.
