Thousands of people registered to vote, enrolled in courses, networked with neighbors… bc of the F2F and virtual spaces where @UCBoston members interact. Orgs that facilitate (& celebrate) civic engagement can improve individual outcomes & build social capital in neighborhoods.
Local officials and community organizations need to do more to provide opportunities for social capital to ensure every Bostonian can take part in civic engagement, writes Eric Leslie, founder and lead organizer of @UCBoston.

In today's paper: Massachusetts’ public housing is deteriorating. The cost to fix it could be billions. For many mothers and daughters, instead of a rift, there’s Taylor Swift; and more. trib.al/MHyA3EX
