UKey Official Statement Supply Chain Security & Distribution Standards Recent security incidents in the hardware wallet industry have raised serious concerns about device integrity and supply chain security. At UKey, we believe protecting users' assets requires more than secure hardware. It demands strict standards across manufacturing, distribution, and every stage of product delivery. Our position is clear: Security must never be compromised at any point in the supply chain. To reinforce this commitment, UKey is establishing three key measures. 1. Strengthening Distributor Authorization Standards UKey will enforce strict security and compliance requirements for authorized distribution. All distributor applications will be subject to business identity verification, ownership transparency, security assessments, and compliance reviews. Authorization will be conditional on meeting UKey's security requirements and maintaining compliance throughout the partnership. Any violation involving unauthorized device modification, compromised product integrity, or failure to meet security standards may result in immediate termination of authorization. Distribution authorization is a responsibility, not a permanent privilege. 2. Reinforcing Hardware Integrity and Security Verification Supply chain protection begins with the device itself. From the earliest stages of development, UKey Core 26 has incorporated two built-in security mechanisms: • Tamper Detection If physical tampering triggers the device's detection mechanism, a security warning is displayed to alert the user. • First-Use Verification Core 26 retains and displays information about prior device use, even after a factory reset, helping users identify unexpected device activity. These mechanisms were designed into Core 26 from the beginning, rather than introduced in response to recent industry incidents. UKey will continue evaluating hardware integrity, device verification, and security procedures to address emerging threats. 3. Strengthening Customer Protection and Channel Accountability UKey maintains a zero-tolerance position toward unauthorized device modification and fraudulent distribution practices. Users should purchase only through UKey's official sales channels or distributors listed on our official website. Before initializing a wallet, users should inspect the packaging, verify the device through official procedures, and check for security alerts. If any signs of tampering or unexpected prior use appear, stop using the device immediately and contact UKey through official support channels. Never share your recovery phrase or private keys with anyone. Where a product integrity concern is reported, UKey will review the available evidence and determine appropriate customer protection measures in accordance with its applicable policies. Hardware wallet security does not end at the factory. It must extend through every partner, every distribution channel, and every device delivered to a user. We will continue strengthening our security standards, improving accountability, and protecting the trust placed in UKey. Security isn't an afterthought. It's where we started. Secure. Simple. Sovereign. — The UKey Team October 13, 2026
