Interesting that 4 of the top 5 have all been traded in the past 12 months. The 5th is on his 3rd team in the past 3 seasons.
😤 The top 10 NFL defensive tackles this season, per PFN’s DT Impact metric:
1. Jeffery Simmons, CHI (98.9)
2. Dexter Lawrence, CIN (93.5)
3. Quinnen Williams, DAL (92.8)
4. Jonathan Allen, CIN (92.5)
5. DeForest Buckner, SF (91.2)
6. Malcolm Roach, DEN (91.0)
7. Deone Walker, BUF (90.1)
8. Jalen Carter, PHI (88.9)

To be fair from what I can tell no one has actually televised a Titans game in 3 years
They should then call up Cleveland and try to trade one of the firsts for Jared Verse and see how long before the Browns hang-up on them.
Is he elite? Yes. Does he dramatically improve the Bears defense? Yes 2x. Still, there is a LONG list of players that were acquired for 2 first round picks that left the teams with buyer's remorse. My heart LOVES it. My head says oh boy, this could be a disaster.
There is not a neutral fan alive that doesn't understand the difference between DeForest Buckner (who is very solid) and the best DT in the NFL. Further, Buckner is older and out of contract in February.
Honestly, I have no idea why Packer fans are whining about this. It is, literally, no where near Kraft.
Silly, but hardly shocking that an organization that has made several terrible decisions over the past couple of years would decide that keeping a RB (that would probably fetch a day 2 pick) during a rebuild is of vital importance.

Bears and Lions fans uniting for a day to laugh at the Packers crying about officiating
I'm slightly older (apparently) and remember Ditka, I'd put him at #3. Iron Mike won the Super Bowl but also underachieved for multiple seasons with the best Bear roster of the last 70 years.

Bears HCs I actually remember ranked:
1) Ben Johnson
2) Lovie Smith
3) Matt Nagy
4) Dick Jauron
5) John Fox
6) Dave Wannstedt
7) Marc Trestman
8) Matt Eberflus

Yeah Flus was the worst HC ever in one score games, has like a bottom 10 win % of any HC w 40 games period, lost 14 games in a row once and then had a separate 10 game losing streak a year later but yes apparently "one of the worst head coaches of all time" was too dramatic

He had the lowest winning percentage in one score games in NFL history among qualified coaches before he was fired.
Removing the hilarious hypocrisy of Green Bay Packer fans whining about not getting calls, NFL officiating has been horrible for years. Further there are rather obvious solutions (e.g., full-time refs, fire poorly performing ones, etc.).
In my 19 years covering the Packers on a daily basis, I've never written a blame-the-refs story. Yeah, I get it, the Packers beat themselves, too, but what happened at Ford Field was unaccepable, an embarrassment and, to quote Xavier McKinney, bullshit. ⬇️

I doubt we go after Woolen (he's better in zone than man-to-man). Ojomo makes some sense, but Dennis Allen is so weird when it comes to dlinemen.
A loss tonight could trigger the Philadelphia Eagles into sell mode. Two young players on expiring deals that would likely interest the Chicago Bears:
CB Riq Woolen (27)
DT Moro Ojomo (25)

I’m a bit perplexed about the thought process of that sequence - pull the starters, run 3 straight shotgun draw plays (?) from your own 1, and then concede the safety. Miami is going to win (obviously), but yeesh.
Imagine living in a world where *squinting* the Chicago Bears *looking around puzzled* have too much talent for Caleb to fail.
