Our agreement with @WMO @UNDP @UNEP will generate crucial information that will expand countries’ preparedness and resilience to climate change.
This partnership also makes the IDB one of the first Multilateral Development Banks to access a UN-administered Multi-Partner Trust Fund and exemplifies work that MDBs have been doing with the UN and UN agencies to enhance collaboration.

The effectiveness of any early warning system depends on the availability and quality of data.
Unfortunately <10% of the required climate data is available from least developed states & #SIDS. I urge members at the 8th @UN_SOFF steering cmte meeting to help close the data gap.
SOFF continues to operate at speed and scale – the seventh SOFF Steering Committee approves Investment funding for an additional 5 countries and takes important decisions, including on the importance and urgency of additional funders contributing to SOFF UN Fund.
