On #IWD2023, we celebrate gender parity and the contributions of women to peace and security. The SWTP promotes women's participation in peacekeeping. Last week, newly included members met at @unrsce to discuss women's leadership and challenges of working in @UNPeacekeeping

We need more women in @UNPeacekeeping! On this 5 yr anniversary of the SG's #genderparity strategy, we are grateful to our donors and supporters incl. Denmark, France, Japan, Portugal, Sweden, UK, and US enabling us to support the SG's strategy and deliver on gender parity.

5 yrs ago today, the SG launched his gender parity strategy, which has ensured good progress on #genderparity at the UN. Continued efforts are needed in the field to ensure that more women are appointed. The SWTP provides support to women leaders interested in @UNPeacekeeping
