🧠Congratulations, Joris Geigenmueller the recipient of the Alastair Rushworth Research Endowment PhD Award.
Established in 2020 by Mrs Janice Rushworth in memory of her late husband, Alastair, who passed away from early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, this Research Endowment Fund honours Alastairs’ legacy by supporting dementia research.
Joris, from QBI’s Tara Walker Lab, will investigate novel molecular mechanisms that mediate the beneficial effects of lifestyle, and how it can positively influence brain function and ageing — a vital step in understanding and combating Alzheimer’s disease.
