Who needs an Indian version of Adolescence when the nation is held hostage by ageing men too frightened to grow, too bitter to dream, and too small to love? They drape themselves in saffron (and other colours), but their faith is fear, their wisdom is decay, and their strength is nothing but the trembling hands of those who mistake control for power.

As a solo photographer I enjoy working alongside (and incorporating) other photographers into my work, like from this beautiful 2024 Delhi wedding.
(As per tradition, since it's my birthday, a small request to RT this so that people hire me to shoot their weddings. Thank you!)

ALT A head-and-shoulders shot of a couple, from overhead, where you can see the hands of another photographer, directing them.

ALT A green outdoor setting with a head-and-shoulders shot of the couple in red and white, where they occupy the lower part of the frame. The bride's face is towards the camera, but she's looking down. The groom, on the left is looking at the bride. Behind them and above them in the frame is foliage, with some out-of-focus highlights.
A talk after a while! Doing this, this Wednesday in Bangalore. If you're around and want in, holler!

This book is a deeply important chronicling of the draconian crackdown on dissent and activism in the Modi years.
Terrific work, @suchitrav and @kiccovich.

My dear colleague and friend @DavidKalal at the NYC #IndiaDayParade hands out “Constitution Kits” created by @martinmacwan2’s wonderful organization Dalit Shakti Kendra.
The kits honor the architect of India’s constitution Bhimrao Ambedkar. Each kit is a puzzle which fits together into a Constitution House. @Hindus4HR

A leader who walks the talk.
"If you trust me to run your country, the first thing you need to do is to stop attacking the people and the minorities around you. If you don't, I have no use and it's better I leave".
Dr Mohammed Yunus in his first address to the nation.
This is a vital and responsible call from someone who want to bring the nation together. We need more leaders like him around the world who bring people together and communicate the hard truth to their own people.
There is a direct threat to minorities in Bangladesh, and we hope that this call can resolve the issue.
Thank you, Dr. Yunus.

If you’re in south Bombay this weekend, a bunch of illustrious city folk, and I, will be reading/performing at this event, in solidarity with Gaza. There’s also an open mic. It’s free and open to all, but registration — bit.ly/gazaopenmic — is mandatory.
Always conflicted about investing in an e-reader, so scouting for a second-hand Kindle in good condition to chalao kaam. Mumbai folks, if yours is just lying around and you want to rehome it, holler?
