During Operation Sea Guardian, NATO Allies used ships, aircraft, and underwater assets to monitor the Mediterranean, identify potential threats, and safeguard freedom of navigation. This constant vigilance keeps NATO secure and ready to defend every inch of Allied territory.

The threats of tomorrow can't be faced with yesterday's technology. We're working with Allies and defense industry innovators to accelerate the development of next-generation military capabilities, ensuring our warfighters have the tools they need to stay ahead of evolving threats.

New threats demand new ways to fight. During Operation Skyfall II in Germany, 🇺🇸 U.S. Army aviation and air defense units tested how sharing real-time targeting data can help them detect, track, and defeat enemy drones more quickly. This kind of innovation makes #NATO stronger and a more effective force for peace.

Too many migrants find out the hard way that an illegal immigration journey puts everyone’s safety and lives at risk. Criminal organizations, cartels, and human traffickers prey on illegal immigrants, often subjecting them to brutal violence, extortion, assault, and forced labor. Follow the law.

Even today, these workhorses keep U.S. and Allied jets continuously in the air, extending the reach and endurance of forces as we ensure peace through strength. Building on this history of innovation and ingenuity, America continues to strengthen its defense industrial base and encourages our Allies to do the same.

Ramping up defense industry and innovation on both sides of the Atlantic puts into practice the Alliance’s 5% defense spending commitment. Exercise Saber Junction 26 brought together 5,000+ troops from 11 nations to learn from ongoing conflicts about electronic warfare, unmanned aerial systems, dispersed maneuver, and contested communications.
