It doesn’t matter who is linked with becoming Manchester United manager, because whatever the name (and most of those in circulation have previously already been ruled out), they are set up to fail. The parasitic Glazer ownership has bled and broken the club, putting a financial noose around it. In 2024, Sir Jim Ratcliffe talked a big game about a “three-year plan” to rival and outdo Manchester City and Liverpool. But the decision-making under INEOS’ charge of football operations has not just been woeful, but costly too. There is zero accountability for expensive mistake after expensive mistake. There is still no clear direction on club identity, including style of play, which leads to profiling the right signings and manager. That was a major promise made by Ratcliffe, which hasn’t been kept. To borrow his own words: “There have been a whole series of coaches, some of which were very good. And none of them were successful, or survived for very long. The only conclusion you can draw is that the environment in which they were working didn’t work.” It still doesn’t. It never will as long as the people who own and run the club betray Manchester United and what is required to be successful in the modern era. You can harp on about structure, vision, and sell fanciful projects, but you will never have the right operation with the wrong people.

Your club's heading to the championship for cheating mate I wouldn't be piping up. Relax the gums and get ready for Preston away when your points will actually mean something
Brighton’s manager thinks their project is better than Man United’s 😂 Impossible for Man United to be considered the biggest club in the country now.

Carrick is so lucky he has friends in the media who can deflect this on to Bruno. If these results and performances were on a foreign coach it'd be a 10am sacking. Sad what the club has become

Stop supporting the Glazers and Boycott
Manchester United deserved this beating. The warning signs have been there since the Hull game. Poor work rate, dreadful team shape and a lack of intensity have gone unaddressed for weeks. Jason Wilcox needed to intervene and didn't. Michael Carrick must now be relieved of his duties. But let's not pretend another managerial change fixes everything. The entire football club is broken. Perhaps this defeat will finally convince supporters that real change requires more than complaints. Stop financially supporting the Glazers. Boycott. Demand accountability. #BoycottUnited #GlazersAndIneosOut

❤️‍🩹 Khvicha Kvaratskhelia: “Why me? I was not ready for this”. “Many people have asked me questions about this setback, many have said that if all the footballers in the world prayed, the match would end in a draw. That might be true, but before every match I play, I ask God to leave the field unscathed, but in vain.” “It hasn't been long, but it's still in my head - why me, actually? I've never missed anything, probably prepared for this game the best I've ever prepared. I thought I was prepared for everything, but no, and I realize that God has chosen me and if I was protecting the players on another field, I'm ready to go through these months of work, pain, tears.” “I know I have to come back stronger for my people who always support me, I won't let you down, I promise I won't waste a second. Thank you all for your support, see you soon”.

🚨🚨🗣️ Erik ten Hag: “I wouldn’t go on [as Manchester United manager] with only one year left. So I said, ‘I need an extra year and we have to do it together’. “They promised me loyalty, they promised me backing, they promised communication, that we get aligned. “We spoke about the issues. But the promises, they DIDN’T keep.” #MUFC [@lauriewhitwell]
