6-month follow up angiogram after placement of a @MV_Terumo FRED 21 flow diverter for a right PICA #aneurysm. Aneurysm is gone and vessel is remodeled. In this variant, the right vertebral artery ends in PICA. Great treatment for the right indication. @UTHealthNeuro @UHFoundation

Not all distal #aneurysms are mycotic. Like this ruptured distal MCA aneurysm in a 7-year old. He pres w/ an ICH & left hemiplegia. He had a #craniotomy for #aneurysm clipping & resection + hematoma evacuation. Pt made a great recovery, is now ambulatory and moving his left arm

Transcirculation stent-assisted coiling is a good option in pts with wide-neck aneurysms and a robust Circle of Willis (via ACoA or PCoA). Other options do exist, but this one worked well for this unruptured PCoA aneurysm w/ fetal PCA @UTHealthNeuro @jmascite (w/ pt permission)
