NEW: 18-year-old Kenneth Lamar Scott is in the Monroe County Jail in connection to the Bloomington shooting that left 7 injured.
Police say he was taken into custody after running from Kirkwood Avenue just after shots were fired early this morning.
Right now Scott faces charges of resisting law enforcement and unlawful possession of a firearm, an AR-15 style handgun.
He also has a felony weapons charge pending in Hendricks County. According to court records, in July he was pulled over, charged with driving while suspended and dangerous control of a firearm/providing a firearm to a child. Scott told police a gun he had was his grandmother’s and the gun his 14-year-old passenger had was his.
He was released on bond and placed on “Enhanced Pretrial Supervision.”
It is not known if bullets from his gun actually hit all or any of the seven victims in the Kirkwood shooting.
Had passengers asking about Indiana-Minnesota trading 60-yard field goals last night. Looked it up: first time in the modern era opposing kickers both hit 60+ in the same game. They did it 19 seconds apart.
FBS usually gets maybe 1-2 makes from 60+ all season. Both teams doing it in one game? About once in ~25,000 games since the tee ban. Roughly 0.004%.
