Genesis speaks directly to the role & necessity of imagination. Art has never been trivial. The opening line of the Bible, five words in, is the only way we survive—the only way we have our being.
“In the beginning, God created.”
I’ve never seen Tank act.
When I tell you this part had me WEAK! LMAO😭😭. These two druggies are fucking NUTS bro😂😂😂 #ReasonableDoubtHulu
One thing I don’t allow people to do in my presence is place a label on D’Angelo.
He is Black music and everything that that means. Here is a seamless flow of rock n roll, jazz, a praise break, funk, and hip-hop in less than 90 seconds.
It’s October 14th, and for a while we got to share a world with D’Angelo.
He was here. He dreamed here. He loved here. He wrote about what it meant to be here, and he made sounds that make it a little easier—make it possible.

Doechii speaks on her long-awaited debut album 🚨
“I spent the last few years relearning Hip-Hop as a student. Studying it’s language, history & roots. Now I feel inspired to contribute to evolve it.”
“A mission is brewing inside of me (a responsibility really) to see black womanhood exist at the center of Hip-Hop AND Pop.”
“I want art in every f**king thing. I want everything. I am EVERYTHING.”

The jazz framework of Songs in the Key of Life needs to be discussed more. To have the likes of Bobbi Humphrey, Dorothy Ashby, George Benson, Herbie Hancock, Raymond Maldonado, and Ronnie Foster contributing on the same album was major.
The discourse centering Jasmine Guy is a demonstration of misogyny.
She had the audacity to get older, and ya know, a woman only exists to be used and/or desirable. If she can’t be those things, we prefer her death. You hate women you are not attracted to because you hate women.
“Beef” Yasiin Bey, 2003.
Nigga @LupeFiasco was rapping about the Gaza Strip in 2006 this shit beyond October 7th. This is genocide

Why are people jumping to purchase from Macklemore instead of donating to the victims of genocide?
Equating everything to purchase power is not revolutionary. I understand boycotting artists but the focus remains on celebrities & not on the victims of genocide.
The genocide of the Palestinian people is not a “war.”
It is a kind of violence to describe the active effort to erase the history and future of an entire group of people as a “conflict.”
We’re watching a holocaust, sponsored and designed by the U.S.
And Ed Sheeran is a loser.
