After 11 wonderful years with #Unitex, Maria Taveras is officially retiring! To celebrate everyone came together for a beautiful farewell party to honor her years of dedication and teamwork. Maria’s hard work and warm spirit will certainly be missed across the plant.
On August 14, the #Unitex Hartford management team from the Ledyard, Meadow, and S. Windsor facilities, along with their families, gathered for a group outing at a Hartford Yard Goats baseball game! Everyone enjoyed a fun-filled night.

#Unitex Regional Operations Manager, Len Zaccagnino, became a proud grandfather for the 6th time, as his daughter Alisa gave birth to a beautiful little girl. Welcome Micaela Joan Zaccagnino, 8 Lbs. 7-oz, 21” long. We wish the Zaccagnino family heartfelt congratulations.
#Unitex Perth Amboy Med Apparel Celebrated Summer and the World Cup on July 22nd with a BBQ. The day was packed with laughter, food and dance moves.
To keep the World Cup team spirit going everyone has been encouraged to continue wearing their favorite national team jersey!

How #Unitex Beat the Heat: July brought some of the hottest weather of the summer, spurring on plant management teams to find ways to keep staff cool. The Perth Amboy facility set up hydration stations throughout the plant—a small gesture that the team truly appreciated.

Ledyard: A Kona ice truck was brought on-site to help employees keep cool on the hottest day recorded in 60 years at 100F!
420 Days and Counting!
On July 27th the #Unitex Perth Amboy Med-Apparel facility celebrated 420 days without an OSHA-recordable accident. The staff there were treated to a breakfast of coffee and donuts as a way of saying “CONGRATULATIONS!”

We are pleased to announce that Steven Gonzalez, who has been with #Unitex for 8 years, has been promoted from Unjammer to Mechanic! Steve recently passed his Mechanic Assessment with strong results, earning his official B Mechanic status.
Gabriela Pavon, Assistant PM, and HR Supervisor, Milena Sabater of team Linden attended their very first job fair in Roselle on June 17th. The job fair provided a great opportunity to connect with local job seekers and introduce them to career opportunities at Unitex.
Congratulations to Josh Pinckney (10A), Mario Lopez Guillen, Marco Alcantara, Enrique Nunfio Roberti, and Esteve Dario Ramirez (10B) for completing the TPC (Training, Performance & Compliance) Program, which builds technical, maintenance, and safety skills.
