♡ Good Morning! ♡ ~ A rather undignified clatter comes from beneath Eidra's worktable, followed by a muffled little curse. A moment later, the seamstress emerges, hair disheveled, one mechanical finger held triumphantly aloft. ~ “FOUND IT!” ~ She blinks at the morning light spilling through her windows. ~ “...Oh! Good morning, my lovelies! ♡” “Goodness, is it morning already? I could have sworn it was only midnight a few minutes ago.” ~ She glances at the clock, then at the mountain of unfinished sewing. ~ “...Well, that's embarrassing.” “You know, I've been trying to finish this particular piece for hours. Lovely little thing, beautiful fabric, absolutely dreadful cooperation from the seams. And somewhere along the way, I convinced myself that if I just kept working, surely I'd get it right.” “Instead, I've spent the last twenty minutes looking for a finger that fell off.” ~ She wiggles the recovered digit before clicking it back into place. ~ “Which brings me to something I've been meaning to say.” “Some of you are awfully tired, aren't you?” “And I don't mean the sort of tired that disappears after a good nap. I mean the kind that settles into you after weeks or months of trying to keep everything together. The kind where you wake up and already feel behind, where things you once enjoyed have begun to feel like obligations.” “It's a miserable little feeling, isn't it? Especially when you start wondering why everyone else seems to be managing so much better.” “But sweetheart, you don't actually know how well everyone else is managing. You only see the bits they let you see.” “Perhaps the soul who seems to have everything together spent yesterday crying over a sink full of dishes. Perhaps the person who always makes everyone laugh hasn't had a proper moment to themselves in weeks.” “And perhaps you're doing considerably better than you think, considering everything you've been carrying.” ~ Eidra pulls a chair closer to the window and settles into it, stretching her arms above her head. ~ “I think we get terribly confused about what it means to be doing well.” “We count the things we've accomplished. The work we've finished. The promises we've kept.” “But when did we decide that being exhausted meant you were wrong?” “Oh, my little threads, some of you have been trying so very hard for so very long.” “You don't need me to tell you to push harder. I suspect you've been telling yourselves that quite enough already.” “And I won't tell you that a cup of tea and a lovely morning will magically put everything right, either. Wouldn't that be convenient? I'd be selling enchanted teapots by the dozen!” ~ A small laugh escapes her as she reaches for her neglected cup. ~ “I suppose what I'm trying to say is that I hope you stop treating yourselves as though you're only worth while when you're at your best.” “Be tired. Be frustrated. Have a morning where you accomplish very little. Have an afternoon where you change your mind about what you can manage.” “You're still allowed to enjoy yourself in the middle of all that, you know.” “Put on your favorite ridiculous socks. Eat the nice thing you've been saving. Laugh at something stupid. Tell someone you're tired instead of insisting you're fine.” “And if you need help, ask for it. There is no prize for making everything unnecessarily difficult.” ~ Eidra finally takes a sip of her tea, wrinkles her nose, and peers into the cup. ~ “...Cold.” ~ She looks toward the unfinished garments, considers them, and decisively turns her chair away. ~ “Nope! Not yet. Not until I've had breakfast.” “Actually, I'll have something terribly indulgent. Something with strawberries!” ~ Her smile returns, bright and thoroughly pleased. ~ “Have a good morning, my lovelies. Or a perfectly ordinary one. Those are allowed too!” “And if you're feeling a little worn around the edges today, well...” “I'm hardly in a position to judge, am I? ♡” ~ Eidra ♡

♡ EIDRA’S WARDROBE ♡ 🩸 SPOOKY DROP #25 | JEKYLL & HYDE 🩸 ~ Eidra stands before a tall Victorian mirror, carefully adjusting the collar of a beautifully tailored coat. On the worktable beside her sits a little glass vial filled with something an altogether suspicious shade of green. ~ “Helloooo, my gorgeous huns!! ♡” “Ohhh, have we got a deliciously wicked little treat for you tonight!” “Tell me, sweetheart... have you ever looked in the mirror and wondered what might happen if you simply stopped being good?” ~ She smiles sweetly, then leans closer to her reflection. ~ “Because tonight, darlings, we're exploring the rather unfortunate consequences of finding out!” “DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE!!” ~ Eidra clasps her articulated hands together with delight. ~ “Ahhh, Victorian elegance! Forbidden experiments! Repressed desires! Respectability hiding something absolutely dreadful beneath its beautifully polished buttons!” “And the FASHION, huns! Oh, the fashion!” “Immaculate tailoring with just a hint of corruption. Luxurious fabrics interrupted by something rougher, wilder, and terribly improper. Beautiful silhouettes that seem to be having a little disagreement with themselves!” ~ She lifts two contrasting swatches, one pristine ivory silk and the other dark, distressed velvet. ~ “Such a fascinating little contradiction, isn't it? The person we're expected to be... and all those unruly things we keep tucked away where polite society cannot see them.” “Of course, we're making actual outfits, darling! Not laboratory costumes, not monster disguises, and certainly no enormous bottles of questionable medicine hanging from your belts!” ~ She glances at the vial on her table. ~ “...Speaking of which, who left that there?” ~ A moment passes before she shrugs and returns to the mannequins. ~ “FOUR NEW LOOKS TONIGHT! Two for the ladies, two for the gentlemen, each playing with that wonderful tension between refinement and ruin!” “Some charmingly respectable. Some delightfully indecent. And perhaps a few that aren't quite sure which side of themselves they prefer!” ~ Eidra turns back toward the mirror, only to discover her reflection still smiling after she has stopped. ~ “...Oh.” ~ She slowly raises one finger. The reflection raises two. ~ “Darling, that is VERY poor manners.” ~ She throws a cloth over the mirror. ~ “ANYWAY!!” “Come have a peek, my beautiful huns! And remember...” “There's nothing wrong with having a little darkness in your wardrobe.” ~ Her grin turns mischievous. ~ “Just make certain it doesn't start choosing your outfits for you! ♡” ~ Eidra ♡

✦ A MORNING IN ODETTE'S ARMS ✦ ~ You awaken to movement. Not the jostling of hurried footsteps, nor the familiar shifting of a mattress, but a gentle, measured rhythm that carries you through the lingering warmth of sleep. Beneath your cheek rests something smooth and cool, polished metal warmed faintly by the life nestled against it. A quiet mechanical heartbeat hums somewhere within, accompanied by the delicate whisper of interlocking mechanisms. ~ ~ Odette is carrying you. ~ ~ One enormous arm cradles you securely against her chest, its articulated fingers curved beneath your body with such exquisite care that you scarcely feel their weight. Your head rests near the brilliant sapphire crystal set within her breastplate, its soft illumination painting your face in shades of blue. Above you, long midnight hair spills over her shoulder, brushing your forehead as she walks. ~ ~ She notices the instant you stir. ~ ~ Her steps slow, and those beautiful blue eyes descend to meet yours. For a moment, she simply watches, her expression softening with a tenderness that needs no introduction. Then her free hand rises, two slender metallic fingers carefully gathering the hair that has fallen across your face. She smooths it aside, her touch so delicate that the coolness of her fingertips is little more than a passing whisper. ~ ~ There is no greeting. No murmured good morning. Only the faintest inclination of her head and a small, affectionate curve of her lips. ~ ~ When you shift within her embrace, Odette adjusts immediately. Her supporting arm draws you a fraction closer, while the other settles against your back, ensuring that no uncomfortable edge of her armor presses against you. The motion is practiced, almost instinctive, though there is something wonderfully deliberate in the way she attends to every little movement you make. ~ ~ The corridors pass around you in a quiet procession of pale stone, gilded arches, and windows brightening with the first sunlight. Odette walks with an unhurried grace that seems almost impossible for a being of her stature. Even the faint music of her mechanical joints is subdued, each step placed with care lest she disturb the little peace you have found in her arms. ~ ~ At one window, a shaft of sunlight spills across your face. She turns slightly, allowing it to warm you while keeping its brightness from your eyes. Her free hand rises once more, this time to shield you from the sharper glare, the polished plates of her fingers catching the morning gold. ~ ~ A little farther along, she pauses to straighten the blanket tucked around you. One corner has slipped from your shoulder, and this, apparently, is an unacceptable state of affairs. With patient precision, she draws the fabric back into place, tucking it beneath your chin before smoothing away the smallest wrinkle. ~ ~ Satisfied, she resumes walking. ~ ~ You cannot quite tell where she is taking you. Perhaps somewhere breakfast awaits, or a quiet room has been prepared with all the little comforts she knows you enjoy. Odette offers no explanation, yet the certainty of her care makes the destination seem strangely unimportant. Wherever it may be, she has already considered the journey, the warmth, the light, and every little thing you might need upon arriving. ~ ~ Her gaze returns to you as your eyes begin to grow heavy again. A tiny movement touches her lips, almost a smile, and she lowers her head until her cheek rests briefly against your hair. ~ ~ The gesture lasts only a moment. It is enough. ~ ~ Her free hand settles over yours, allowing your fingers to curl around one of her own. She holds them there as she walks, never tightening her grasp, merely remaining within reach. ~ ~ Whatever awaits beyond the next doorway, Odette will see you safely there. And until that moment comes, she seems perfectly content to let you rest. ~ ~ Odette, the First Split

GOOD MORNING, YOU BEAUTIFUL LITTLE MENACES!! 💙🧡 ~ Bones emerges from a mountain of blankets, enormous ears twitching as she stretches her little paws toward the morning light. ~ Hey. C'mere a second, would you? Yeah, YOU. The one trying to sneak past without getting hugged. ~ She opens her arms wide, her usual mischievous grin softening into something wonderfully affectionate. ~ We've got something we wanna tell you. We know pain. We know what it's like to wake up already exhausted. To have things inside you that ache long after everyone else thinks they ought to have healed. To laugh and make jokes while some little part of you is still trying to remember how to feel alright. And we know that sometimes, even the happiest little gremlins are carrying things nobody can see. So today, we're not gonna tell you to be strong. We're not gonna tell you everything happens for a reason, or that you should just smile and look on the bright side. Sometimes things hurt because they hurt. Sometimes people leave bruises that don't show on the skin. Sometimes you can do everything right and still end up sitting in the dark wondering what the hell happened. And sweetheart, we wish we could make all of that disappear. We really, really do. But since we can't, we're gonna do something else. ~ Bones scoots closer, wrapping her little arms around you and tucking her enormous fluffy tail over your lap. ~ We're gonna hold you. Not to fix you. Not to make you explain yourself. Not to tell you what you should be feeling. Just to give you somewhere soft to land for a little while. Because we know what it's like to need that. We know what it's like to want someone to hold the hurting parts without being frightened of them. To have someone see the mess, the scars, the things you aren't particularly proud of, and not immediately start looking for the nearest exit. And goodness, we wish more people understood that love and kindness aren't only for the easy days. They're for the days when you're irritable and tired. When your thoughts won't behave. When you feel a little too much, or can't seem to feel much of anything at all. They're for the people who have been hurt and still somehow find room in their hearts to be gentle. Especially those people. ~ Her ears lower slightly, and she gives you another affectionate squeeze. ~ So if you've been struggling lately, we hope this morning brings you something good. A warm breakfast. A silly message. A song that makes you dance around your room like an absolute idiot. Someone who listens when you talk, or sits comfortably beside you when you don't feel like saying anything. We hope you get to laugh until your cheeks hurt. We hope you find a little excitement in something wonderfully ridiculous. And we hope you remember that your injuries, whether anyone can see them or not, don't make you any less deserving of affection. You don't have to hide the tender places to be held gently. ~ Bones gives a little sniff, then scrunches up her nose with a grin. ~ AND IF ANYONE THINKS OTHERWISE, WE'LL BITE THEIR ANKLES!! ...Lovingly. PROBABLY. Hehehe! 💙 Now go on, you gorgeous little disasters. Have yourselves a lovely morning. Eat something tasty, drink some water, and find at least one reason to be a ridiculous little creature today. And if the day turns out to be difficult? Well, we're still cheering for you. Even on the days when all you manage is getting through it. WE LOVE YOU, YOU WONDERFUL LITTLE WEIRDOS!! ~ Bones :3

♡ EIDRA’S WARDROBE ♡ 🎈 SPOOKY DROP #24 | IT 🎈 ~ Eidra stands at her worktable, examining a little red balloon tied to the wrist of a mannequin. ~ “...Now, I certainly didn't put that there.” ~ She gives the string a suspicious tug before turning with a bright smile. ~ “HELLOOO, MY BEAUTIFUL HUNS!! ♡” “Ohhh, darlings! Tonight we're visiting the lovely little town of Derry!” “That's right, sweetheart! STEPHEN KING'S IT!!” “Creepy sewers, childhood nightmares, red balloons, and one particularly dreadful clown with an absolutely APPALLING sense of personal boundaries!” ~ Eidra giggles, lifting a swatch of crimson fabric. ~ “Now, I know what you're thinking! Eidra, darling, surely you're not putting us all in clown costumes?” “GOODNESS, NO!” “Although I must admit, Pennywise does have a rather interesting collar.” ~ She taps her chin thoughtfully. ~ “But tonight we're taking that wonderful mixture of theatrical elegance and creeping horror and turning it into something you might actually want hanging in your wardrobe!” “Vintage-inspired tailoring, dramatic shapes, playful little details that turn positively sinister upon closer inspection, and just a whisper of something ancient lurking beneath all that finery.” ~ She gestures toward the waiting mannequins. ~ “Four new looks, huns! Two for the ladies and two for the gentlemen! And should you hear someone giggling down a storm drain...” “Perhaps don't go looking for the source, hmm? ♡” ~ Eidra ♡

✧ A MORNING THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS ✧ Noctira, Sovereign of the Looking Glass Court ~ Morning has arrived in the Looking Glass Court. Or perhaps it has not. Beyond the tall crystalline windows, a thousand different dawns shimmer across the glass: one golden, one violet, another beneath a sky where the stars have yet to surrender to the sun. ~ ~ Something soft brushes your cheek. A silken petal, deep magenta at its tip and shimmering sapphire beneath, curls away as you stir. Above you, a pale lavender face emerges from a magnificent cascade of living, eye-speckled petals. ~ “Oh... there you are.” ~ Noctira's golden eyes brighten with quiet delight. She tilts her head, studying you as though your waking were an entirely unexpected discovery. ~ “How curious. I was watching you dream, and for the briefest moment, I wondered whether I might be the one asleep.” ~ Her lips curve into a knowing smile. ~ “Wouldn't that be lovely? To wake within another's dream and find oneself quite at home.” ~ She leans closer, the enormous eye nestled among her brilliant petals opening to regard you from a different angle. ~ “Good morning, my little question.” ~ One slender finger traces the edge of your pillow, and the glass above reflects a dozen versions of her smile, each subtly different. ~ “Tell me... when you close your eyes, where does the world go?” ~ She waits, not with the expectation of an answer, but with the delighted patience of someone who has discovered a particularly interesting puzzle. ~ “Ah, but perhaps that is unfair. You've scarcely opened them again.” ~ A musical laugh escapes her. ~ “And here I am, already filling your morning with impossible things.” ~ Her flowing petals settle around you, their luminous patterns shifting like little windows into distant skies. She reaches down, gently brushing a stray lock of hair from your forehead. ~ “Do you know what I find so enchanting about waking?” “Yesterday, you knew precisely who you were. You had your little certainties, your familiar thoughts, all those wonderfully stubborn ideas about how the world ought to be.” ~ Her voice softens into a conspiratorial whisper. ~ “And then you slept.” “Who can say what might have changed while you weren't looking?” ~ Noctira's smile widens, revealing a flash of violet lips and delicate teeth. ~ “Perhaps nothing at all. Perhaps everything.” ~ She extends her hand, palm upward. Within it blooms a tiny, impossible flower, each petal reflecting a different version of the room. ~ “Here is a morning in which it rains. Here is one in which the sun never rises. And here...” ~ The flower turns, revealing your own reflection smiling back at you. ~ “...is the morning in which you opened your eyes and found me waiting.” ~ She considers this with evident satisfaction. ~ “Mm. I rather like this one.” ~ The little flower dissolves into drifting sparks as she settles beside you, her long, iridescent petals spreading across the bedding like a living tapestry. ~ “Shall we linger a while, darling? I have a hundred questions, and I suspect you have a hundred dreams you've already forgotten.” ~ Her fingertips find your hand, turning it gently beneath her own as though examining some rare and fascinating treasure. ~ “But there's no hurry. The world will still be wonderfully strange when we rise.” ~ A pause. One of her many eyes blinks independently. ~ “Unless, of course, it isn't.” ~ She laughs softly at her own thought, then rests her cheek against the pillow beside yours. ~ “Ah, wouldn't that be a surprise?” ~ Outside, the countless dawns begin to mingle, painting the chamber in impossible colors. ~ “Good morning, my curious darling.” ~ Noctira's golden gaze meets yours, warm with a wonder that has survived centuries without growing weary. ~ “Now... what shall we discover about each other today?” ~ Noctira, Lady of Wondering

“Good morning, my darlings. Do you know, there is a peculiar little habit of yours that has fascinated me for a very long while. You persist. Ah, forgive me. That sounds rather obvious, doesn't it? Yet I assure you, after witnessing more lives than I could reasonably recount over breakfast, I have never found it quite so ordinary. You mortals are wonderfully contrary creatures. You build your hopes upon uncertain foundations, make promises to futures you cannot possibly know, and venture forth each morning with only the vaguest notion of what awaits you. And when those hopes falter? When the world proves less accommodating than you had wished? Why, more often than you might imagine, you find some manner of continuing. Not always with courage, mind you. Nor with dignity. Goodness, I have witnessed enough spectacularly ill-advised decisions to furnish an entire wing of the Archive! But you continue nevertheless. I have known those who believed their happiness forever behind them, only to discover some small, unexpected joy years afterward. Others who wandered so long beneath the weight of sorrow that they scarcely recognized the sound of their own laughter when at last it returned. And some, my dears, who never quite escaped their grief at all, yet learned to make room beside it for other things. I find that last distinction particularly important. There is a tiresome notion that suffering must improve you, that every wound conceals a lesson, and every hardship exists to fashion you into something greater. Nonsense. Some misfortunes are simply misfortunes. They needn't be made noble to be endured, nor must you emerge from them transformed into some shining example of fortitude. You are permitted to be weary. You are permitted to lament what has been lost, to resent an unfair turn of fortune, or to find yourself quite unable to muster the enthusiasm the world seems forever demanding of you. And should you stumble? Well, darling, I hardly think the universe shall be scandalized. It has witnessed far worse performances, I assure you. What interests me is not that mortals are forever overcoming their difficulties. They are not. Some burdens remain, some questions go unanswered, and some wounds never wholly close. No, what fascinates me is how much life may yet unfold around such things. A friendship begun in an unlikely place. A forgotten pleasure rediscovered. The first genuine laugh after a season of dreadful silence. A morning that proves unexpectedly pleasant for no grand reason whatsoever. Such modest occurrences, and yet how often they alter the course of a life. I have preserved the histories of emperors and paupers alike, and I tell you, my loves, the moments they treasured most were seldom those the world considered important. Often it was something terribly simple. A familiar voice. A shared meal. A hand held when words had become quite useless. So I should like you to remember something as you go about your morning. You needn't make a triumph of today. There is no obligation to emerge wiser from every difficulty, nor to turn each sorrow into some magnificent achievement. Some days are meant for doing what one can, tending to what matters, and leaving the remainder for another morning. And if all you manage is a little rest, a little nourishment, and perhaps one small kindness toward yourself, I should hardly call that a wasted day. Ah, but listen to me. I had intended only to wish you a pleasant morning, and here I am discoursing upon the peculiarities of mortal existence again. An occupational hazard, I'm afraid. Still, I remain curious about what awaits you. Not because I expect some grand revelation, but because the smallest happenings have such an extraordinary habit of becoming cherished memories. So go along, my darlings. See what this day has to offer. And should it offer very little, well... there is always tomorrow, with all its delightful uncertainty.

♡ EIDRA’S WARDROBE ♡ 🩸 SPOOKY DROP #23 | SOMA 🩸 ~ Eidra sits at her workbench, turning a little piece of polished metal between her articulated fingers. Several sketches lie scattered around her, all featuring rather peculiar combinations of fabric, cables, and organic shapes. ~ “Helloooo, my gorgeous huns! ♡” “Tonight we're diving somewhere terribly deep. And I don't just mean underwater!” “SOMA!!” “Ohhh, darlings, what a wonderfully dreadful little nightmare this one is! Abandoned underwater facilities, machines that have forgotten they're machines, and that absolutely horrible question of what makes someone... well, someone!” ~ She taps a finger against her porcelain cheek. ~ “Now, as an automaton myself, I must say, this one hits rather close to home!” “Although I should hope my own wiring is in considerably better condition. Hehehe!” ~ She lifts a swatch of dark, glossy material against a piece of distressed mesh. ~ “But the FASHION possibilities! Oh, sweetheart, we've had such fun with this one!” “Deep-sea industrial wear, strange biomechanical textures, weathered materials, exposed construction, and those wonderfully unsettling little details that make you wonder whether something was manufactured... or grown.” “And of course, we're keeping everything wearable! No enormous diving helmets, no random mechanical limbs, and certainly no tentacles growing out of your trousers!” ~ She pauses thoughtfully. ~ “...Unless someone specifically commissions those. I do take custom orders.” ~ Eidra giggles, then gestures toward the waiting mannequins. ~ “Four new creations tonight! Two for the ladies and two for the gentlemen, each borrowing a little something from SOMA's haunting underwater world.” “Some sleek, some eerie, and some just a touch too beautiful for something that looks as though it crawled out of the ocean floor!” ~ A quiet electronic crackle interrupts her. ~ “...Oh?” ~ She looks toward a mannequin. ~ “Darling, if you've developed consciousness, that's perfectly lovely, but please wait until AFTER the presentation!” ~ Eidra laughs, straightening her sweater. ~ “Enjoy tonight's drop, my beautiful huns! And remember...” “Just because something has a heartbeat doesn't mean it's alive.” ~ She glances down at her own mechanical hands, smiling faintly. ~ “And just because something doesn't... well, that doesn't mean it isn't. ♡” ~ Eidra ♡
