1 in 6 marketing emails never reach the inbox.
5-minute pre-send workflow that catches most failures:
1. Spam check (2 min): 16 checks, score out of 100
2. Inbox placement test (3 min): see where your email lands at Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and 8 others

The Unspam.email webinar replay is up: Matthew Vernhout on Postmaster Tools v2, the Heatwave blocklist, DMARCbis, DKIM2, Gmail's AI Inbox and Comcast moving to Yahoo. Plus a 2027 plan.

DMARCbis (RFC 9989) removes pct and adds np, psd and t. Matthew's advice: update your record now. Receivers on the old spec ignore the new tags, so nothing breaks.
Across eight mailbox providers, the average inbox rate barely moved from December to August: 63.9% to 64.0%.
Underneath it, Yahoo fell 30 points, AOL fell 34, and Outlook rose 25.
Our 2026 Deliverability Benchmark is out. What it says to fix:
5. Audit IP reputation and drop link shorteners. IP listings tripled and short URL safety fell ten points.
6. Put consistency ahead of content. 89% of tested email already passes content checks. Volume, cadence and list quality are the likelier causes of the gap.
The senders who did well in 2026 looked the same in August as they did in January.

Shipped: Automatic Spam Test 🚀
Your spam score moves even when your email doesn't.
SpamAssassin rules change. Blocklists update. Domains age.
The score you cleared last quarter isn't the score you have today.
So we built regression testing for email. How it works:
Details we're proud of:
- Blocklists re-checked every run, so a fresh listing is a dated score drop
- Score trend charts across 7/30/90 days
- Every run has a public share link that works without an account
- Threshold alerts, so quiet stays quiet
A manual test only helps when someone runs it. Between campaigns, nobody does.
And the send you skip is the one carrying a rule you never saw fire.
Put it on a schedule instead. Free to start, no credit card:

We just launched a free Email Marketing Calendar.
📅 887 key dates
🌍 199 countries
🗓️ 2026 through 2030
Shopping peaks, public holidays, cultural moments. Black Friday to Diwali to Singles' Day.
Free, no signup, runs in your browser. What's inside:
Detail we're proud of: floating dates recompute correctly per year.
Black Friday, Easter, Diwali, Ramadan. All accurate through 2030.
And nothing gets uploaded anywhere. The whole thing runs client-side in your browser.
One warning from our deliverability data:
Peak dates = peak volume. And peak volume is exactly when deliverability problems surface.
Set your calendar, then test placement before each big send.
