I’ve lived in the Scranton area all my life and it's great to see it grow and progress as so many young professionals and diverse immigrant groups moving into the city. There’s excitement and passion in the city. #IamScranton

I’d like to see more businesses in Scranton and for them to restore that spark the electric city had that drew me to it in the first place after coming here from the navy in 1948. #IamScranton

I was born in 1963 and raised in Scott Township with Scranton being just 20 minutes away. It was the diesel smelling “city” I travelled to get my haircuts. After working here for over 30 years I can’t help but see the city moving in a positive direction. #IamScranton

I chose to stay in Scranton as a native of Archbald. My husband and I even had our 2007 wedding reception held at the Scranton Iron Furnaces, one of my favorite Scranton places. We chose the Scranton location because of our interest in and love of the local history. #IamScranton

I’m from Scranton’s West Side. I moved for college and joined the Air Force which had me stationed in Japan. I later returned to make Scranton my home and I hope it continues to grow as a creative, diverse, and welcoming city. #IamScranton

One year ago, Scranton was among colleges/universities nationwide to receive support during the pandemic through the #AmericanRescuePlan. We're grateful for how these funds have helped support our students at this critical time. More @usedgov: bit.ly/3CoKLs8

When my family first moved here, Scranton was described as a “ghost town.” Thanks to all the diverse communities moving to this city, it no longer feels like that. Now, families like mine are building a strong community here. #IamScranton
