I spent time today building an SEO research pipeline.
I’d be very surprised if almost any local business is doing things the way I am.
It would take an incredible amount of time to get the amount of information I was able to compile.
Now we wait for results 😭

5.5 Hours today (while watching a movie, cooking, and cleaning).
Loaded up DeepSeek V4.1 Flash into Claude Code terminal and went to town on everything.
For $0.45 I have a bit more peace of mind.
Updated everything from individual npm packages and project dependencies, up through WSL and Windows, all the way to the VPS and its OS.
Done for now. Final message on what we accomplished today:
"~290 package upgrades. Named CVE fixes: about 10, conservatively.
Realistically the true figure is dozens to low hundreds, because one Ubuntu security update can carry 5–20 CVEs and you had 200+ packages updated."

Today, I was truly surprised yet again by something I've been working on.
I've been building a "referee" system that can watch Apex Legends matches and determine a win or loss as a side project.
The system detected the win way before it showed up on my Twitch player. You can see the status change while the players are still fighting.
It started out as just an idea in a friends backyard during a convo in which I said "I wish there was an easy way to bet on video games and get paid automatically if you win."
We threw around a bunch of different ideas on how this would work. Some ideas included setting up cameras on each players screen, screen recording, etc.
I settled on OCR (Optical Character Recognition) as a starting point after researching different tech options. And while its decent, it wasn't reliable enough.
Then @typesafeai visual JEV dropped, and changed everything.
The system watches its own copy of the stream, which was a few seconds ahead of mine. It’s not predicting anything. It just reads the result screen the moment it appears, about a tenth of a second per frame, and it’s fast enough that it genuinely shocked me.
The hard part now honestly isn’t reading the screen, it’s trusting it. Someone could paste a fake win banner over their stream or play someone else’s footage. So it checks both players streams against each other before anything would pay out.
This may have started as a dumb video game idea, but I now have way more use cases I can think of than betting on games.
Going to keep developing this and try it on a bunch of different applications.
