One of the greatest adventures of being an international airline pilot is sampling the local food. Sometimes the most unlikely things can be quite tasty.
One of the most interesting things about eating in foreign cultures is trying to figure out what the advertisements are saying. This is from Incheon, Korea in October of 2015.

A picture from one of the far flung places in the world I've had the privilege to have visited as a pilot. This was taken in a store in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in January of 2012. I miss those days visiting random places across the globe.
A moment in time from my days of flying. Thailand is a place where the food was uniformly tasty but sometimes different from what westerners are used to. This filled both squares.

This is the smile of a pilot who has taken the very last simulator ride of his career. (21 June 2019).
This was a sunrise I was able to capture on a morning in 2016. I was headed back home from Charleston, SC after 17 days on the road circling the planet flying for Atlas Air.

The King County, WA Workforce Equity Manager, (who knew we needed such a thing in government?), has decreed that county employees may not decorate their workplaces using anything to do with Christmas or Hanukkah. These people are nuts. pjmedia.com/culture/chris-qu…
One of the best moments is to leave an airport shrouded in grey fog, rain and clouds and climb up through that to meet the sun! This was as we were leaving Almaty, Kazakhstan for Leipzig, Germany in April of 2019.
This is one of my favorite photos from the flight deck. At 38,000 feet the sunrise is being caught by the top of a cumulonimbus as the moon is setting into the South Pacific. We were on the way to Sydney, Australia from Honolulu on 22 July 2013.
Here's a link to a montage of all the aircraft I've known in my 42 years in aviation. Started out as an F-106 Maintenance Officer with the 87th FIS and then went on to fly with the USAF, ATA and Atlas Air. It was a great career!

Here's a peek inside the cargo bay of the Boeing 747-LCF freighter. This is where the fuselage and wing sections of the 787 aircraft are carried from Taranto Italy and Nagoya Japan to the assembly points in Everett, WA and Charleston SC.
The LCF is a unique aircraft . There are only four of these planes in existence. they are owned by Boeing and flown by Atlas. Their sole purpose is to fly fuselage and wing sections of the 787 from Nagoya and Taranto to the U.S. factories. Here I'd just arrived in ANC.
