Your allegiance is to the Federal Republic of Nigeria and your duty is to uphold the Constitution, protect citizens, maintain law and order, and discharge your responsibilities without fear, favour or POLITICAL BIAS. DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE CLASH AT A POLITICAL RALLY ORGANIZED BY OBEDIENT/OK MOVEMENT IN SUPPORT OF PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE OF NDC IN ASABA: POLICE COMMENCE INVESTIGATION, ADVISE POLITICAL PARTIES/SUPPORTERS AGAINST ROAD PROCESSIONS The Delta State Police Command has commenced a full-scale investigation into a violent incident involving supporters during a political rally organised by the Obedient/OK movement in support of the presidential candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Asaba on Saturday, 7th November 2026, which resulted in the death of one person and injuries to five others. 2. Prior to the rally, the Command received an intelligence report indicating the likelihood of violence and consequently invited the organisers to a security meeting. During the engagement, they were briefed on the identified security threats and advised against holding an open road procession. They were further encouraged to conduct their political activities at a designated venue where appropriate security will be provided for them. However, the organisers ignored this important security advice and proceeded with the road procession. 3. At about 1215hrs, a violent incident occurred along Nnebisi Road, Asaba, during which one person lost his life and five others sustained injuries. The identities of the victims are yet to be ascertained. Upon receiving a distress call, police operatives mobilised to the scene and took the injured victims to the hospital for medical attention. Security was subsequently reinforced in the affected area to forestall further breakdown of law and order, while investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those responsible. 4. The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Samuel E. Erale, psc, mnips, condemns the violence and reiterates that political parties are free to conduct lawful campaigns and other political activities. He, however, advises all political parties and their supporters to avoid road processions in the interest of public safety and to liaise with the Police ahead of any political gatherings to facilitate adequate security arrangements. The CP assures residents of Delta State of the Command's commitment to a thorough and impartial investigation and urge anyone with useful information to contact the Command through the following phone numbers; 09155570008 or 09155570007. *OPEN REPLY TO THE DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND AND THE DELTA STATE GOVERNMENT ON THE ASABA KILLING* We have read with pain and anger, the statements by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, and the Commissioner for Works and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, on the killing of one person and injuring of five others along Nnebisi Road, Asaba on Saturday during a peaceful procession by the Obidient/OK Movement in support of Mr. Peter Obi. We condemn the killing. But we reject the attempt to blame the victims for their own murder. Let us be clear: *This was not a coincidence. This was not a mere "clash." This was a conceived action plan.* *1. A Conceived Plan To Attack, Harm And Silence The Opposition* What happened in Asaba is part of a deliberate, well-planned strategy to continuously attack opposition parties, expose them to harm, and then use that same violence as an excuse to declare " *no street rally."* The pattern is now too clear to ignore: First, deny the opposition access to public facilities — stadiums, fields, halls, schools town halls, etc. Second, when they are forced to use the road, which is their constitutional right, allow thugs to attack them. Third, after the attack, the Police and Government will come out to say "we warned them" and "they should have used a designated venue." Fourth, use the bloodshed as justification to ban opposition rallies altogether. *That is the plan. Attack them, blame them, then ban them.* The ultimate goal is not peace. The ultimate goal is to use state power to bar the NDC and other opposition parties from campaigning in Delta State, while the APC campaigns freely everywhere. We see it. Deltans see it. Nigerians see it. *2. If you had intelligence, what did you do with it?* The Police said they received intelligence suggesting a likelihood of violence before the procession. They said they invited the organisers and advised them to cancel. That is not policing. That is abdication. If you had credible intelligence that an attack was being planned, your duty under the Police Act and the Constitution was to: - Identify the planners, - Arrest and interrogate them, - Deploy men to protect the procession, - Secure the route, - And prevent the attack. Why was no one arrested BEFORE the attack? Why was no suspect picked up? Why did you wait until after one Nigerian was killed and five injured, to now say investigations are ongoing? Intelligence without action is useless. If you knew, why did you allow the killers to strike? Or was the intelligence itself part of the plan to warn the victims, not the attackers? *3. Why is the security report always negative only when it is the opposition?* Whenever the NDC, Obidient Movement, or any opposition party wants to hold a rally, suddenly there is a "security threat." Suddenly the Police advise them to cancel or go to a "designated venue." But when the APC holds its rallies, road shows, and open street processions in Asaba, Warri, Ughelli and other towns, there is never a security threat. There is never a warning. There is never a police advice to cancel. Is violence only possible when the opposition gathers? Is APC immune to security threats in Delta State? If the Police are truly neutral, let them publish the security reports for APC rallies in the last six months. Let Deltans see if the same warnings were given.Until then, this looks like selective policing to suppress the opposition.

The Thugs are known to be from Apc There is no reason why you should limit campaign to a particular location This is the same nonsense you did in Lagos with Oluomo Anyone that want to disrupt a lawful campaign will meet his marker Nobody has the monopoly of violence Since the police has taken a side, we will legally protect and defend ourselves. Call your thug and advise them not to disrupt campaign Nobody is more Nigerians that other Nigerians. We will not succumb to those threats and violence from your party. Aura will meet Aura. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Abians have seen good governance. They can’t be deceived. They know what it feels like and smells like from the little one they’ve gotten from their governor. You can’t tell them nothing. And for those who keeps castigating our governor for playing very mature politics, where else do you see citizens freely, resolutely and strongly standing their ground this way. No matter what happens, just know it that this man has given us back our voice, our freedom and dignity. Therefore you cannot bamboozle Abians with rubbish, even if it means we’re the only state standing on this lane.

You guys said your candidate was younger and better educated than both Tinubu and Atiku so he is the best. You said voting for him is not because he is igbo, it is because he is the best. So why are you not voting Seyi Makinde? He is younger and better than your candidate and you know it..

I am profoundly saddened and deeply disturbed by reports of violence directed at members and coordinators of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Obidient Movement in Delta State. I unequivocally condemn the attacks against our coordinators, supporters, and fellow citizens who were merely exercising their democratic rights. Political violence has no place in a democracy and can never be justified. No political aspiration is worth the life of a Nigerian, and no dispute should be resolved through intimidation, physical attacks, or the destruction of property. It is particularly troubling that, at a time when Nigeria urgently needs responsible leadership, some individuals continue to believe that political influence can be secured through thuggery, fear, and violence. Political authority should be attained through persuasion and the trust of the people, not by intimidating opponents. I urge the Government and the security agencies to conduct an immediate and thorough investigation into these attacks, identify those responsible, and ensure that they face justice, irrespective of their political affiliations. The safety and security of our members must be assured. We will not be intimidated or silenced, nor will we relinquish our democratic space to violence. Our response will remain peaceful, lawful, and determined. Nigeria belongs to every one of us. No political party or individual has exclusive ownership of the democratic space. Every Nigerian is entitled to organise, gather, express their views, and freely elect their leaders. Our nation needs constructive ideas rather than intimidation, responsible leadership rather than thuggery, and democratic contest rather than political violence. I stand in solidarity with everyone affected in Delta State. A New Nigeria must be founded on justice, liberty, peace, and respect for the dignity of every citizen. May God bless Delta State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. -PO

Yesterday, I joined His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi and many others at the Trade Fair Complex to honour and celebrate the life and times of Chief Okey Ezeibe together with his family and the business community. While the loss of Chief Ezeibe is deeply painful, I encouraged the family to take consolation in the fact that he was a highly respected pillar of several communities, and that his impactful contributions and towering legacy will be remembered and felt long after his passing. May His Industrious Soul Rest In Peace. Amen. FD.

No governor in Nigeria fought erosion like Peter Obi did in Anambra State. In 2014, former Environment Minister John Odey credited him as instrumental in creating NEWMAP, the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project that tackles soil erosion and land degradation across the country. The proof speaks for itself, listen to the people of Anambra share their experience in the documentary below.
You want to compare my brain with that of Peter Obi? He ran away from erosion in Anambra and now wants to be president, president of where? Lilikabu. - President Tinubu

The average Yoruba person is a chronic liar 😂🫵
I served in Anambra State, Ekwusugo LGA to be precise. The functional banks in Anambra are located in four towns: Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, and IHIALA. Other towns have no banks or only non-functional ones. Once you leave Onitsha, you’d barely see functional banks until you get to IHIALA. The distance from Onitsha to IHIALA is like traveling from the mainland to Island In Ekiti State, towns like Efon Alaye, Aramoko, Iyin, Oye, Ado, Ikere, etc., have functional banks. Also, banks are strategic in where they establish branches. If a location is prone to illegal activities (robbery, k!dnapping, etc) , they won’t open a branch in that location. Banks will consider opening a branch in Ekiti towns rather than in Anambra because Ekiti is 70% peaceful and easier for doing business.
