The King this morning received Flight Lieutenant Colin Bell for an audience at Buckingham Palace.
Now 105 years old, Flt Lt Bell was a RAF Mosquito pilot during World War II. He gave a book about his experiences to His Majesty today.
During the audience, The King presented Flt Lt Bell with the citation to his Distinguished Flying Cross, which was originally awarded to him by King George VI in 1945.
It was great to be back at Victoria College to join their Remembrance Service, along with @StoneRevPete who led prayers. The Service is a poignant one in the College calendar, particularly reflecting on those Old Victorians who gave their lives.
Fantastic evening last night to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Jersey branch of the Royal Air Forces Association.
Fantastic to see Victoria College CCF front and centre in @JEPnews providing the Halberdier Guard for the traditional Assise d’Heritage ceremony.

This week marks the birthday of Alistair McReady-Diarmid, the patron of Diarmid House. Students learned about his life and the history of their House. Exciting highlights included seeing his sword in person and a dress down day to celebrate - holiday theme! @vcj_head

‘End of an era’ is commonly used but the passing of Gp Cpt John ‘Paddy’ Hemingway DFC really is the end of an era for those brave Battle of Britain pilots. Rest in peace Sir and thank you.

Volunteer numbers are falling fast!
We’re calling on the UK Government to introduce 35 hours of statutory volunteering leave per year to reverse this decline.
Please RT if you support this!

Very excited to have been elected as a Trustee of the CCF Association at the AGM last night. The national charity that supports CCF contingents around the country plays an important role for Cadets and CFAVs. I’m looking forward to offering my experience and support. @CCFcadets

We were honored to welcome His Excellency, the Lieutenant Governor of Jersey, Vice Admiral Jerry Kyd, as a special guest at today’s Remembrance Service. The College was beautifully adorned, inside and out, with tributes to those who gave their lives for our freedom. @VCJ_Head
