Widespread minor with locally moderate coastal flooding is expected during the high tides today and Friday. Coastal Flood Warnings and Advisories remain in effect. Refer to water.noaa.gov for the latest tidal forecasts.

ALT This infographic shows a map of all Coastal Flood Advisories and Coastal Flood Warnings in effect across the area. Coastal Flood Advisories are in effect across areas along the coastline, Chesapeake Bay, and upper rivers due to widespread minor coastal flooding expected over the next couple of days. Locally moderate flooding is possible across some of these areas. A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect across the southern shore of the tidal Potomac and the bay side of the Maryland Eastern Shore where moderate coastal flooding expected.
These planning efforts help ensure that when emergencies occur, military and civilian partners are better prepared to work together, share timely and accurate information, and keep communities informed.
Preparedness is a team effort and partnership is a critical part of building a more resilient Virginia.
