every single day for the last 364 days i would look at this picture. its the cake that my gf bought for me for my birthday, it was the first birthday cake i ever received. the cake itself wasnt special, just a regular cake from dairy queen, wasnt even that good either tbh lol. the original cake that my gf was trying to buy for me ended up being sold out so this was the only thing available in my area that looked decent. she was kinda pissed about it but i think she could tell i was just excited to receive one, so she ended up being ok with it. (i think lol) but everytime i look at this picture, im filled with so much joy. like wow i have someone in my life that loves me enough to get me a cake for my birthday. something that no one has ever done for me in 30 years. i never truly wanted or expected a cake for myself on my birthdays but deep down i always wished for one. i remember when the doorbell rang for the delivery, i texted her immediately so she would know that i received it. she only took like 30 seconds to reply and ask for a picture of the cake. but by the time i saw the message, i had already stabbed it with a knife to cut myself a slice because of how excited i was to try it. the picture itself was completely ass. it was off center, not zoomed out, my thumb is blocking the lens and its kinda blurry. funny enough though, i think something about the picture matches how i show my love to her. its all over the place, far from perfect, theres always something in the way and sometimes she has no clue whats going on. but id like to believe that its clear i love her to death and that i try to be as sweet as i possibly can be about it. im extremely grateful she keeps picking me to be with her everyday, out of everything i could ever wish for on my birthdays thats the one thing i will never ever take for granted. someone that loves me, flaws and all, and that decides to keep loving me through the good and the bad. (usually its good though lol) thank you so much for being in my life, even the cake couldnt be as sweet you, i love you so much @VELMORAS
