I know what's truly going on... Taka Arashi has retired from Sumo Wrestling... But! That doesn't stop him from entering the world of VF Crossroads with a completely new martial art. 😏 #vfcrossroads #virtuafighter #playmoreVF @VFisAWESOME

A fine evening of Virtua Fighter folks! We start off with some quick matches with @Myke623 sensei. It was cut short due to some PC updates on his end. 😆 Then, I managed to play against two random players who had strong Jackies - two "YEAHs!" for the price of one! I believe that they were from Asia (since the connection was decent and playable of 180ms average for ping)! Next we have the incredible @jimmypkg who literally destroyed me with his near invicible Eileen, followed by a rowdy Wolf and dancing El Blaze...! Unbelievable. It's not because of the strength of the characters themselves, but it's predominantly because of the sky-high skill from the player. A privilege as always to play you Jimmy! We end it with a few matches from another random player who utilised a cunning Goh! GGs to everyone! It was a blast to play with you. ^^ Elson vs Random Room Matches #7 (VIRTUA FIGHTER World Stage) - Session 154 youtube.com/live/arVj1EXqWQs… #VirtuaFighter #PlayMoreVF @VFisAWESOME

A mad three hours of Virtua Fighter! We start off with long sets with Okugreenman who is building up on his Vanessa and Taka. Kicks and slaps abound! Then, thanks to an update from my nephew on the fixture of the Indigo West Cable, I did a connection test with Jun from Thailand who utilises are skilled Lau - it really worked! We are now back in business for stable connection between Perth to Singapore/Bangkok/Hong Kong! So damn happy about that! Next we go through fun few league sessions with @Myke623, @boxxheadx & Taalu showcasing a kung fury of a Lau and two dangerous and fast Jacky's! We then end the evening with @ISTheRyzing where he showcases Brad, Goh, Kage, and Akira! I just had to try and do a connection test to see if there was any difference after Indigo West Cable has been fixed. Sadly there is no improvement but I still had a blast playing against the young and talented Ryzing from Brazil! GGs to everyone! Many thanks for the company and games! Play more VF ya'll! ❤️ Elson vs VFA #12 (VIRTUA FIGHTER World Stage) - Session 153 youtube.com/live/zi_zmKaGj8c… #VirtuaFighter #PlayMoreVF @VFisAWESOME

It's been 5 months since I played against Esto! It was good to brush up my other VF character such as Aoi, Jean, Kage and Akira during matches like these where I can relax and implement some experimental drills that will hone in on my character knowledge and application. Thanks for the fun session Esto, GGs! Elson vs Esto #2 (VIRTUA FIGHTER World Stage) - Session 152 youtube.com/live/WPtYPg_oclc… #VirtuaFighter #PlayMoreVF @VFisAWESOME

Had an excellent session against c-d sensei's Jean with my Pai! I was very satisfied with the exchanges, despite not being able to get a set win. That's the power of my sensei's at VFA! 😁 Then Pixley offered some games and I was able to experience her Jeffry! GGs to both of you, many thanks! 🙏 It was also good to have c-d and @NecromancyBlack to hop into VC to talk about #vfcrossroads and FGs like DOA and Tekken. My Greenman continues to grind on his fundamentals, strikes and movements in a live match! He played against my Lion to build up character knowledge & match experience! And instead of Pai, I switched to Sarah for kicks. Enjoy the session as much as we did playing! GGs Greenman! I love how "weight" was mentioned in your commentary Mike because despite the incredible animations, lighting and vocal performances, SOUND DESIGN was a strong highlight during my first watch of the trailer. Rafale family is "grounded" on Northern Praying Mantis Kung Fu (aka Tourou-ken) & to show the "weight" of Lionel's training & martial art we hear it three times in the trailer (from a story telling pov). First the boot on the table. Listen to the clinks of the bottles and wine - Lionel has strong intent to challenge this 'Paraguayan Punisher' who DIDN'T have it all (complete opposites, excellent narrative contrasts). Lionel, perhaps deep-down and yearning, wants to prove a point: 'that he doesn't have to be labelled like his father to be given everything to show success, he wants to do it his way, the old money way, in the streets, a trait of rebellion not lost in the Rafale household. Second the Tourou-ken prep as he spreads his legs and feet apart into mantis form (the threat and danger of this individual is imminent). The 'scrrrrrrch' on his boot to dirt, the dust emanating like's smoking hot, makes the audience really feel that his martial arts is ready to do some serious damage to his opponent, and in addition, an intent to prove his point of being stronger in combat. There is so much "weight" in his conviction in the moment! Thirdly, that STOMP! WHOOMPH~TMPP! The camera pans out to not Lionel (the character in full body shot) but also shining a light to the awesomeness, power and beauty of Tourou-ken (emphasis on martial arts as a theme, it speaks VIRTUA FIGHTER!). It give me chills everytime I see this scene, it's deliberately done this way to make me feel the "weight" of everything that's been presented! Point is: SOUND DESIGN may have been masked by the other flashy elements but know well that what we heard is an important layer to the conversation and the story. (Also, I think his signature sneaker-boots are weighted, making it even more awesome that he takes his training seriously! I can't wait till you give Lionel a go when the game comes out!) #VirtuaFighter #vfcrossroads #VFCR #PlayMoreVF @VFisAWESOME
