"The police shoot to kill"
I still have non-Brazilian friends who think São Paulo is fine to visit We hired a great Uber driver to drive us to Florianopolis, like a 3 hour trip, cause was easier than flying then, very nice guy While driving I sat in the back talking a bit with him and practicing my Portuguese Then I noticed he didn't wear a seatbelt so I asked why He said "so I can draw my gun quickly" I said "desculpa the fuck what gun" Then he showed he was wearing a holster on his right side with a gun it which he carried for safety because he said drive into and out of São Paulo often So being a funny naive Dutch guy I asked "so did you ever kill someone?" He said "yes I killed a guy last year who came at me and who tried steal my car in São Paulo" And then he told me he was in a judicial trial about it and being prosecuted for it I asked him again in the naive Dutch guy perspective "did you get like therapy after? like must be intense right, do you feel bad about that? He said "no why? If I didn't kill him he would have killed me" ☠️ Foreigners especially Europeans have no clue how violent São Paulo and Rio are, it's just not in their mental framework to be able to understand the danger, Brazilians themselves are surprisingly honest and realistic about it There a reason I stay the F out of São Paulo I mpstly stick to South Brazil, it's safe, not as safe as Europe but mostly very safe and not really violent. The violence and crime there seems mostly isolated between gangs and in the few favelas there About that too I asked Brazilians "why is South Brazil so safe?" And they mostly agreed when a guy told me "because the police here shoot to kill" while in São Paulo and Rio the police is too scared to get prosecuted for killing people

This guy picked two cummins diesel trucks to prove a point that there aren't any cheap vehicles for sale. You're not entitled to a fucking 2500 series diesel cummins ram if you're broke, you dumbass.

I can’t believe this but I gotta do it. I never wanna hear MAGA NURSES CAN’T BE NURSES. The shit I hear from liberal nurses is beyond unprofessional. I hope this nurse learns from this report I’m about to make on her. I’m just glad I stepped in and helped the patient who was attacked by 2 random people.

Leadership isn't a title. It's what your guys see you do when the pressure is real. Lead from the front. Lead by example… Micro-management is a sign of insecure leadership. I don't "hover-parent" my team. Provide the foundation, set the standard, and trust them to figure it out. Real leaders don't create followers—they empower people to grow, advance, and lead whether you're there or not. via John "Shrek" McPhee Like General George S. Patton said, make the other guy die for his country. Dying is a last resort to keep your team from dying but living gives you the opportunity to keep killing.

Would 😂
Who else would buy a St. Michael the Archangel inflatable like this for their front yard? I’m tired of seeing witches, and creepy decorations everywhere. If we’re going to reclaim All Hallows’ Eve, let’s do it with something bold, eye-catching, and anything but lame!

This is why I make sure everyone in my life has a cd4/cd8 ratio above 1, a cd4 count above 800 and a lymph/mono ratio >5 Their immunity is my immune system’s burden. Visa versa If you’re not optimizing your health, you’re also burdening those around you
the health of the individual is partly an emergent property of the health and infrastructure of the population around them. The Industrial Revolution is one of the clearest historical examples of this. This is where a lot of the false dichotomy surrounding germ vs terrain theory breaks down. Better model? Ecological equilibrium Our immune systems evolved in small, robust groups where regular exposure to familiar microbes was essential for immune development, and where both internal resilience (terrain) and pathogen exposure naturally balanced each other. Now, collective immunotype has declined creating a "pathogen sink" where exposure is no longer reliably adaptive, but amplifies risk for the collective. That leaves us trapped in a hyper-novel catch 22, where both exposure and isolation can be destructive. That actually creates profound new selective pressures on our immune systems When large groups have too many immunocompromised or unhealthy members, the group as a whole regresses (disease spreads, and collective health collapses or degrades slowly over time). in humans, as in mice, the health of the "terrain" at the group level determines whether exposure to pathogens is adaptive or catastrophic. The more unhealthy or immunocompromised individuals, the greater the "sink" for pathogens, which amplifies collective risk. So terrain theory isn’t what you think. The health of the collective also shapes your “terrain”. Not just your personal decisions around wellness. Your terrain is also shaped by the collective environment you live inside. sanitation, and the health of the population around you. It’s ironic that people who claim to have the most “holistic” worldviews often end up reducing health to an entirely individualistic POV (“you can’t get sick if you eat healthy” or some variation of that sentiment) where every outcome is traced back to someone’s personal decisions rather than ecological determinants + decisions. I still think personal decisions are the strongest lever (at least currently) to pull but we may be headed In the opposite direction if we don’t figure out our collective problems as a society

The next generation of economic actors won't all be human, but their need for financial privacy will be just as real. AI agents will have the same fundamental reasons to choose Monero that humans do: financial privacy, sovereignty, and the freedom to transact without exposing their entire economic history. monero:native
LATEST: 🤖 Arthur Hayes told Binance that whichever network AI agents choose will be “the most valuable network ever created,” with “trillions of agents all doing transactions at the speed of light.”

“so guys, to be a leftard you actually need to be low T and unloved or otherwise have *something* that causes oxytoxin deficiency, and that’s great because then we get to prioritize strangers over family” I’ve seen enough, we need to medicate these people they’re already low agency so the dopamine inhibition won’t change much

Jane Doe
Cornell 7 frat member says he was "sodomized" by 'Jane Doe' while incapacitated, asserted that nobody cared that he was a "survivor" of s*xual assault. Matthew Ingalls torched school officials in an email, accusing them of gender discrimination and entrapment. "You received information that I was sodomized by her while I was incapacitated back in November, and you never once thought to alert me of my rights under these procedures as a survivor of this assault?" Ingalls said in a letter to Cornell's Title IX investigator in February 2025, according to ABC. "The very fact that I had to bring this to your attention now in February confirms my worst fears: that this process is rolled [sic] with gender discrimination." According to separate documents, Ingalls said he was too intoxicated to give consent and claims he fell asleep at one point. He also claimed, during a phone call with Doe, that she told him that she was completely sober.
