With the number of roads there were closed due to the rain and the potential for more rain until Saturday, this is great information!
Showers will continue today and tomorrow. Be alert and aware as you are driving. Don't drive though standing water. Remember - Turn Around Don't Drown.
ALT Image of a man, car, and S U V next to water on the road. Text reads, "Do you really know how deep the water is? 6 inches of fast-moving water can knock over and carry away an adult. 12 inches of fast-moving water can carry away a small car. 18-24 inches of fast-moving water can carry away most large S U Vs, vans and trucks. When flooded, turn around, don't drown."
