I only wish Milords see it this way, which indeed is the right way

“The affidavit that the Election Commission of India has filed before the Supreme Court is underwhelming, raises more questions than it answers.”

I am convinced 62 is just another number. I tested this doing an eight kilometres trek yesterday. And today I complete 62 years of my existence on earth. Time to move on from what I am doing and chart a different path
This man took a luxury custom made bus, along with his cabinet, across Kerala when he was CM. Opposition workers assembled on the roadside to greet him with black flags. They were beaten up and detained. He is now preaching
In a democracy, the right to protest should never be confined to a designated site. Under Modi’s government, even that limited space is being taken away.
The irony is staggering: a government that wraps itself in the Tricolour is detaining young leaders like @SauravDassss, @AshutoshRanka and @AjinkyaCJP for waving it in protest. The flag belongs to the people, not those in power.
We must unite to reclaim Jantar Mantar and defend our right to dissent. CEC Gyanesh Kumar must resign and face prosecution.

Cartoon @IndianExpress . Jantar Mantar is out of bounds but thanks to its architecture, it can be easily iconised into an emoji for protest. @thejantarmantar
Madame Ghosh does not know such basics.
Journalists who cover courts know the concept of ‘defects’, ‘curing’ and ‘refilling’. All part of the petition filing process.
Every petition filed will have a defect or two and that’s why there is a process in SC for curing the defects within 90 days.
For understanding, have attached two cases filed by Union of India, 58026/2026 filed on 18.9.2026 and another 63308/2026 filed on 8.10.2026. Both have defects.
If so, can we call ‘Union of India’, shoddy and incompetent ?
No, because that’s not fair reporting.
A fine piece indeed from India's top political analyst
Fine piece today by @PalshikarSuhas linking the politics of re-democratisation today to the movements of the past and the agenda of the future.
What is to be done. As someone else asked.

How India now dominates in global inequality.
#ViksitBharat it sure is.
India replaces China
The crucial role of India for global inequality reduction.
Consider this graph that shows international inequality using GDP per capital (in PPP terms) for all countries, weights them by countries’ populations, and thus obtains a Gini that is the most important component in explaining the evolution of global inequality between individuals.

True, the moment is about Delhi and eyeballs, but if INDIA wants to turn it into momentum, they need to mobilize at least in every state capital and ensure they reach the people, not just the rulers, who are anyway blindfolded and unwilling to listen.
