How's everyone feeling about Microsoft Mesh?
Microsoft Mesh is the company's big new VR and AR push. It feels like a Microsoft Teams meeting set in the future, and Microsoft thinks it will be as big as Xbox Live for mixed reality. Here's everything you need to know: theverge.com/e/22072924

VR is not storytelling. In a book or a script, it takes the entire thing to build up a world inside someone's head. All to make them *feel*, towards the end, that they're there, that something is happening. In VR, that's the start. Do we know where to take the story from here?

VR is clumsy and deeply unattractive to many people (and architects) who see it as a treat. It will prove to be the most revolutionary tool of representation in our life time and pave the way for architecture at the speed of the spoken word. How is that for representation.

Just experienced an absolutely transcendent performance of @TenderClaws Tempest with @DashaKittredge and two The Under audience pros. I was smiling ear to ear for the whole hour-- it may as well have been summer camp. Just a reminder, tickets are $8.99 !! Go see this show!

I feel like we are getting to the point of being able to have a #virtualreality & #augmentedreality theater festival, especially given the response to The Tempest. Is it just me? @RachelFriedma91 @brendanAbradley @bpowtweets @iBrews @DoubleEyePro @Zanni_io @AdaoraUdoji

Augmented reality affords “time travel” — or at least layering content onto real world settings to see alternate realities. Could it be used to help us learn from mistakes in our country’s history, or visualize visions of the future — e.g. what happens due to climate inaction?

Happy Birthday Frida Kahlo! ✨ Frida has always been a huge inspiration to me as an artist and as a woman. Never give up on your passions and embrace your ‘weirdness’ ✨ here’s a #VR #Tiltbrush tribute from 2019, Frida and garden, which was a big inspiration to Frida. #FridaKahlo
