If you don't mind me being a lil sappy for a sec. over a decade ago I was pushed by my good friend Monty Oum to make this show after telling him everything about it. After his passing I was filled with determination to make good on that, even if it felt impossible. You'll be happy to know I'm dedicating this pilot to him.
Gameoverse is an animated series about VIDEO GAME WORLDS!!!... Horrifically exploding. And saving them means helping the bad guy stop the good guy or everyone dies.

Overwhelmed by the support right now guys, thank you. To those that are new here, Gameoverse is a show that I've been working on for over a decade. I'll wait to share more about it.. But to see the scope of how long people have been waiting, may I direct you to @Gameoverse.

hey @YouTube @YouTubeCreators — for the past 2 years, a series of videos i've made called Punch Punch Forever has been shadowbanned/super buried in the search results when you search the phrase "Punch Punch Forever". this isn’t just on my end — nearly everyone I know who’s tried searching it sees the same thing. CURRENTLY, the first episode shows up near the top for me, but this wasn’t the case for a long time (over a year), and the second episode still doesn’t show up at all, after a year. related content like fan dubs, reactions, edits, the theme song, etc all show up just fine — but my actual PPF uploads from my “speedoru” channel are either buried or missing entirely. it feels very touch and go and inconsistent. my PPF merch videos show up more reliably than the actual episodes i've talked to youtube support agents multiple times, and in email, more than one of whom even acknowledged the situation was "unusual", but offered no actionable help beyond generic advice like "try changing your tags!" or "try a different thumbnail" which dont address the actual issue. i brushed it off as an algorithm hiccup when it happened to the first video, but when it happened to the second video too (seemingly, even worse with it showing up even less frequently), obviously something was consistently wrong, and I'd just like to know what, as it makes me uneasy about posting future episodes onto the site could it be because the show has all Japanese audio? is the word “Punch” in the title a TOS trigger? the content itself shouldn't be an issue since they're both ad-approved. i'd at least be able to work around any of those issues if they were the cause, but no one i've talked to on your end has ever told me if they are this is not me being upset about it not getting enough views or something, i'm annoyed about it just flat out not showing up in the search results for people who want to search for it. somehow the episodes show up when you search for them on Google, but not Youtubes search. I still get messages from people saying they can't find them on youtube 2 years on now. please have another look into this! i've tried getting this sorted behind the scenes and it was just endlessly running in circles. I’d really love to keep posting my series to youtube without this happening every time. thanks🤠

This is important advice for all creative ventures. I received the same advice from Monty Oum over 10 years ago at RTX, which was "it doesn't matter if it's good or not now, the important part is that you start'. You learn so much in the process of trying to make something.

I don’t care how much you believe you ‘revere’ or love an actor- if you use tech to put words in their mouths or move them at your whim, things they never said or did, you were never actually a fan. You wanted to own them. They never ‘belonged’ to you. Grotesque.

Past week has been rough for artists seeing the coming tide. Its been great seeing many creators speak up in support. Know the artist community will remember those of you that did. Thank you. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Support human artists.

The last few years have been rough for the animation industry. Now many in our community have lost everything to the SoCal fires, making the future that much more uncertain. Please consider helping these talented folks who bring you the shows you love. cartoonbrew.com/animators/ho…

My whole perspective changed as a Voice Actor a few years ago after realizing that actors get paid more per hour than pretty much everyone on a project. Director's hourly rate is often lower, Casting too, Writers get paid less, Project Managers, Schedulers, & the Audio Engineer gets paid the least per hour despite doing the most tedious work & cleaning up after the actor & director. So when actors complain about little things like formatting of scripts, time of day, traffic, show up late or show up with ego, decide to be hard to work with or think they know better than the director...think about how that might be received. I think people assume these roles get paid more, I know I did, because of the influence & power that comes with some of those roles. And yes the rates eventually go up, at least for Directors & Engineers because they get more sessions than actors. But bigger projects don't use the same Director or Engineer for every session either so they may split the work among several. I know some TV show-runners who got paid less than their actors & cast themselves in their project just to get some decent pay & have some fun. The Show-runner. Now that our studio is developing a game & has provided full Audio Production for quite a few games & animations, it's even more amazing to me how these things get made at all! So the LEAST Actors can do is realize it's not about you. You get to show up, have fun, & leave while others clean up your stuff & make something out of it. So show up, be respectful, work hard, & realize your expectations & experience are not the only thing that matters. You're a collaborator, a small part of a whole process that came before you & will continue after you. And that's beautiful, considering how many people don't get to play for a living. Enjoy it.
