In 1984, a rookie named Jim Kelly ran the run-and-shoot for the USFL's Houston Gamblers and threw for 5,219 yards and 44 touchdowns - more yards than Dan Marino's record-setting NFL season that same year. Two years later he was a Buffalo Bill, on his way to the Hall of Fame.

In 1986, the USFL sued the NFL for antitrust violations, seeking $1.69 billion. The jury agreed the NFL had a monopoly - and awarded the USFL exactly $1. The league folded within months. Was that verdict a win or a death sentence?

Kelvin Bryant scored the last TD in the original USFL with a 7-yard TD run for the Baltimore Stars in the Stars 28-24 victory over the Oakland Invaders in July 14, 1985 at Giants Stadium. It was the Stars 2nd straight title and their 3rd title game appearance.

Vince Evans (1984) upscaled with AI. It's far from perfect, but still kind of cool to see in HD.
