I've been involved in a major cross-chain migration (3 chains, 200+M NFTs) and my job title is Chief Financial Officer and Chief Legal Officer. Have to say the $ANIME launch logistics checked every box. You have to appreciate it. Centralized exchanges were online within about an hour of claim. MEXC first, followed by OKX/Gate/Bybit, followed by Binance. Roughly when OKX came on, there was already millions of dollars of volume and hundreds of thousands of dollars of order book depth (initially skewed to buy). If you've ever been involved in a launch at over $500M mcap, you'll appreciate having all this lined up in the first hour. (Spoiler: most do not) The exchanges immediately accepted ANIME on Arbitrum, no clumsy bridging back to deposit ANIME. The claim itself was straightforward. Just hold the NFTs (and register your delegate wallet), go to the website, press a button. No convoluted preregistrations, just a simple, straightforward FAQ. People immediately understood they had to bridge a little ETH to an Arbitrum wallet. The main complaint was everyone waited about half an hour for the actual claims to process, with the explorer saying it was "inflight." I actually imported the token into my wallet ahead, and they appeared minutes before the website refreshed and said the claim was complete. This was obviously on the chain, not the @Azuki side. Then you have to recognize Azuki has a NFT project team skewed to community, marketing and design. They are not a larger Layer 1 team with more legal and corporate people focused on the above. Have to give even more credit. Not all recent cross-chain migrations went as smoothly. For example, some had more frustrating bridging. Many did not coordinate with exchanges as well. For the industry to mature, we need to recognize the boring but critical segments. We need to recognize good execution when we see it. Or at least, #IYKYK. We also need to recognize the other skillsets that round out a team, beyond dev and marketing. Still loving the vibe of the claim video. There's a reason Azuki art and community management is one of the benchmarks I repeatedly point my own ecosystem to. So congratulations @Zagabond @DemAzuki and the team, and thanks @RiceRiddler for being with @AzukiPh real time. Let's run NFTs back in 2025. 🤝 (Would love to know who was responsible for the above.)
