Name change coming soon
We're going to be changing our name to
Valley Farm OWL CIC
so keep an eye out for our change of logo & name
Why?
We recently moved to our first venue of our own, which already has the name Valley Farm. We felt it was confusing to have two Farm names associated with us.

Mind-body dualism hurts everyone, but most especially patients. Honored to be included in this fab story by @Jamie_Ducharme demonstrating why psychologists need to be integrated in the ICU, acute care, rehab or as early as possible. time.com/6186429/suicide-lon… #rehabpsych #LongCovid
It's a grey, wet day here but hot soup bubbling away over a campfire is always cheering.

It's great to have finally moved onto our new venue, #ValleyFarm, between Ashton and Oldham. It was a long slog! And there's still a lot of work to do.
But we can hear muntjac deer and tawny owls at night, and buzzards soaring overhead in the day.
It's great to have some sunny weather and the opportunity to get a bit more farm work done. An electric fence is being put up along the river to keep the horses safe. #Butterbur was found growing there. Apparently people used to use its leaves to wrap butter in, in warm weather.
We've been quiet here for a while, busy with some major changes. I'd love to say the end is in sight so we can announce our plans, but I'm not sure it is yet! Like climbing a hill, there's been lots of false summits on the way, & I'm still not sure I can see the top!
The rain held off for our first cycling & nature well-being session yesterday. We were at Tameside Cycling Circuit who have some truly excellent adapted bikes. Finished up with this delicious herbal brew & a discussion on the multitude of health benefits from fresh herbs
I've been ignoring the current food guidelines & feeling a lot better for it. With #EDS & #PoTs issues I've found I'm better with a full-fat animal product diet & high salt intake. The only thing different to this article is that I'm also better on 8 portions of fruit & veg
When I studied the science during my nutritional medicine MSc, I began to see for myself all the flaws and errors, and the lack of evidence in the Eatwell Guide.
I ditched that advice, changed my diet, and I’ve never felt healthier.
