This week, @WHO marks the 25th anniversary of Research4Life, a public-private partnership that provides researchers, educators, health professionals and policy-makers in low- and middle-income countries with affordable or free access to scientific knowledge: bit.ly/4fM7vYp But Research4Life didn’t just give access to research. It empowered researchers from lower-income countries to contribute, collaborate and publish. To every partner, past and present—thank you. #StandWithScience

March and March is an illegal and undocumented organisation. It needs to be stopped and its architects investigated and prosecuted. It is receiving massive, undisclosed funding - likely also from foreign sources. It has an army of full-time social media bots spewing lies and hate, and it has corrupted the mainstream media to amplify its message. There is a crisis of orchestrated xenophobic hate that now presents a threat to the nation on the same existential scale as State Capture. And it's the same people behind it. It is not enough to be silent or to condemn only the worst acts of violence from the mobs. We need to resist the whole project of lies, hate and violence before it achieves the national instability that is its primary aim.
