A.I. obviously knows it's Oscar's night, because it suggested this fab photo from the 2020 @Monaco International Film festival #Awardwinning #writing #historicalfiction #upmarket

Just watching an 8-times European Champion doing her victory lap and the commentator calls her a 'young lady'. Of course he means well, but this is literally a world-ranking athlete. I don't hear commentary about 'young gentleman' for 30-year-old males? Respect, please.

If I add that she was the first woman to land a 1080 jump (5 yrs ago) you might guess who it is, but regardless, this is a pro athlete at the top of her game, with the experience to whoop everyone else's behind. 'Young Lady' don't cut it. Next time, try 'Queen'.

I didn’t understand why everyone was so excited about this video and then I watched it. Pure cinema. Absolutely perfect.

The first three and a half minutes of @BBCRadio4 news is about club football. Anyone would think it’d been a slow news week. The rest of the headlines shared 3.5 minutes between them, followed by 15 seconds about a tennis championship in Paris (for scale).

Wonderful rabbit hole for this lovely sunny Saturday morning.

📢We’re seeking emerging female #conductors for our annual intensive nine-week training scheme. This traineeship was launched in recognition of the fact that talented female conductors are less likely to find a way into the industry: operanorth.co.uk/news/call-f…

🤦‍♀️
Just had a paper rejected. Generally fair feedback, respect the decision. But one reviewer rejected because ‘you clearly misinterpreted Croft et at (2015) work which shows you lack understanding of the theoretical complexities in this area’ 😬
