People will disagree but a 15 month ban at this point is fair in my opinion. It’s not like it can’t be extended if more comes out or legal findings take over. It gives him over a year to learn, understand the extent of his actions and how to treat others as well as himself with respect and dignity. That said, this is likely the end of his Rocket League career as is, regardless of the length of ban. To touch on his age, the opinion of “he’s 19, an adult, we should lock him up and throw away the key” is pretty stupid. He might legally be an adult but 19 is far from grown, and anyone above the age of 30 will tell you that. Especially when you consider people’s affected mental age by spending your life inside playing games, getting away with talking shit to people online because there’s no consequence, watching streamers getting away with things they shouldn’t on a daily basis, etc. Not to mention getting highly intoxicated, underage. All of these things can stump mental growth massively. I’m by no means defending Kofyr’s actions, of which are seemingly built on his “impenetrable online ego”. He shouldn’t be turning up to parties wasted, inappropriately touching people, being disrespectful, etc. That’s just the fact of the matter. However, he does have time on his hands, 19 is extremely young, and hopefully he can learn from his mistakes and better himself during his ban.

The issue I have with the dev boost isn’t that a lot of pro’s/creators have a free pass to it, or that it’s ruining the casual experience for actual casual players. The main problem is that if you live the other side of the world you’re just screwed. If nothing changes in acquiring it, then some players will spend days, weeks or months searching in the hope of finding a dev, just to eventually play them on 300 ping and likely lose.
