The first teaser for Man of tomorrow will be huge I hope they drop a good teaser trailer.....I doubt it will be as good as Superman though, Superman's teaser was life changing.

You all won’t admit it, but I will. Matt Reeves hogging the Batman character and taking 7 years to release a fucking Batman movie is costing the DCU’s success It’s hard for general audiences to care about fucking Clayface when he can’t even fight Batman. Reeves is stingy af.

The budget isn’t really a point worth defending in regards to CLAYFACE. Listen, even MORBIUS debuted with $39M. CLAYFACE, which is drawn from one of the biggest IP brands in the world, dropped with $15M less than Sony's horror spinoff. A lower budget may limit the financial damage, but in no way does it create audience demand. And that's the point. Choosing CLAYFACE as the DCU’s third film was the misstep. Oh, and making 3 out of 4 set in the SUPERMAN universe. Yes, the DC brand is in trouble. What's new?

That's not what he said,what he is trying to say is even though they're doing connectivity in the DCU they also want movies that can stand alone, it's all about striking the right balance else you run the risk alof making your universe look like a bunch of elseworld projects.

James Gunn doesn’t want a Justice League-centric DCU. Responding to fans on Threads, Gunn defended his approach to DC Studios, arguing that individual stories should stand on their own rather than exist simply to set up the next big crossover. He compared the DCU to Star Wars, where countless stories can unfold across different characters, locations, and time periods. Gunn also confirmed that the Superman Saga will continue through Man of Tomorrow and beyond, bringing together characters introduced throughout the DCU. I didn’t love Clayface, but I didn’t hate it either. And that’s okay. I appreciate Gunn’s willingness to experiment rather than play it safe. It’s the same reason I enjoyed Lanterns on its own terms. I don’t need every DC project to connect to Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, or the Justice League. I want Gunn to go wild with his green lights. Give me a DC Universe overflowing with creativity, even if a few projects miss the mark.

There’s a lot riding on CLAYFACE for DC as it drops in 3,575 theaters this weekend. This is the wild card of James Gunn’s new universe. If it bombs, that’s two strikes in a row (following SUPERGIRL) with SUPERMAN amounting to a ground-rule double. And then what? Outside of MAN OF TOMORROW, DC has no other new-universe film officially dated or greenlit. Wonder Woman, Swamp Thing and Teen Titans remain in early development. CLAYFACE isn’t just another release. It’s basically a referendum on whether audiences are interested in Gunn’s wider DC Universe... or only kinda Superman. Not exactly what you would call a super start.
