Here is one of my most iconic photos, the cover of my book “Shangri-la”: Lhasa’s Potala Palace, once the home of the Dalai Lama & now a World Heritage Site, is the most iconic image of Tibet. The Palace, as seen from the north side, remains virtually unchanged since he 17th cent.
