Going to be very interested in seeing what news comes out of Youmacon. People involved have already been shown to be petty and untrustworthy.
My Youmacon badge was “invalid” when they scanned the QR code for the ticket.
After 4 or 5 attempts the lady at registration (who was nice) just gave me a pass.
At least I’m here.
Also working on details about the @KaZoMa situation.
I've come to the conclusion that there two mindsets in contention throughout this whole thing.
It would appear that these mindsets cannot understand one another on a fundamental level. Despite the many attempts from both to help the other to do so.
At the end of the day, we're just going to have to learn to live with that.
I’m an antisocial nerd, so I’m bad at communicating. I asked AI to help clean up my flow of consciousness to be more easily understandable for everyone. This is the last thing I’ll say on the Ember situation… sorry it is long, you don’t have to read it:
The old internet was built for this. Social circles, MMOs, avatars, and handles let people be themselves or be something else entirely. You could be a different gender, a different species, a completely invented person, and the space treated that as normal rather than a problem to solve. For a lot of nerds, that was the point. The character was the version of you that existed there. You didn’t owe anyone a tour of the body sitting at the keyboard just because they decided they liked talking to you.
Ember said “I’m a woman” and “I’m not a man.” In my rule set, that was still the character. The whole point of kayfabe is that the persona speaks as the persona. If the character is a woman, the character says she’s a woman. That doesn’t automatically turn into a claim that the person behind the account is biologically female, any more than a male VTuber playing a catgirl is claiming to be a cat.
I don’t have a problem with Ember keeping the female character. Online, the persona is the person you’re dealing with. The avatar, the voice, the consistent presentation—that’s the identity that exists in the space. Other creators invited that character into chats and talked to the character. I don’t think that created a debt for Ember to exit the character and hand over real-world information just because people wanted to be friends.
No one has shown proof of coercion or Ember pushing for sexual stuff beyond basic banter. It was ordinary chatting under the assumption created by the kayfabe. From the older internet rule I use, you aren’t owed someone’s offline body just because they presented their persona to you. Treating the later discovery as proof they should have confessed earlier feels entitled to me. They invited the avatar. The avatar showed up. The rest was optional.
This only looks like a clear case of deception if you already start from the position that the physical person must override the character once the conversation is personal, or that anything the character says about being a woman is a literal claim about the operator’s body. I don’t start from that position. It’s a different standard for what an online identity is allowed to be, not a shared rule that one side is simply failing. The online person shared with you about their real self if they wanted.
I understand why they’re upset though. From their culture , they entered those chats under a working assumption that the presented sex matched the real one, shared things they say they wouldn’t have shared otherwise, and later treated the mismatch as a broken premise. That feels like a violation if you believe the physicality stays relevant in private online relationships. I get that reaction. I just don’t share the rule that makes the offline details something other people were entitled to in the first place.
This is why I don’t understand it myself outside of emulation.
Rest in Peace you absolute legend.
You will be dearly missed. Thank your for all the entertainment you've provided through your performances.
As I've mentioned before, I want to start streaming as a PNGTuber some time in November.
I've been really busy and haven't had time to work on assets, so there's a probability some parts will be made with AI until I can get around to swapping them out with stuff I've made myself.
Just wanted to disclose that ahead of time.
I really would love to get back into streaming and don't want to postpone it indefinitely.
Leaflit continues to be the most sensible voice of reason in all this.
The point is to unite on the majority of issues we agree on rather than tear each other apart on the few we don't.
If this keeps up, we'll lose everything. No exaggeration.
Being so focused on all this drama to the point each one gets blown way out of proportion only serves to benefit those that want to destroy the Western world.
This is absolutely hilarious.
This dude kept trying to get Grok to give him a crumb of anything that could vindicate his assertion that "lolicon = pedophilia".
To the point that apparently Grok gave up responding. 🤣
Replying to @grok @RealUicon
Do lolicons find loli characters more or less attractive when said character is portrayed as being at or older than the age of consent in the united states?
Taktical's massive, raging hate boner for Powdur is like the most potent viagra in existence.
It's been months and it's still rock solid. It's so funny.

For everyone one who missed it on todays stream.
I heard there was supposedly no one talking about the Ember Paradox Situation 😝

People have gone from "exposing a liar" to straight up bullying.

So, hopefully, this will be my last post on this whole mess. I said last night that if evidence came out, I’d give no quarter. Well, now that more information has surfaced, here’s where I stand.
Apparently, a group chat involving Ember was uncovered, containing some questionable memes. However, what conveniently got left out of the initial narrative was that the chat’s owner had figured out Ember was a guy and had no issue with it. It was also a mixed group, including other men who were husbands or streaming collaborators. We know this because the owner came forward and called out the bullshit surrounding how the chat was being presented.
Let’s be clear, I still believe Ember was wrong not to disclose that he was a man in private interactions where that information could affect trust and boundaries. I’ve said from the beginning that I don’t support misleading people in private DMs or voice calls. That position hasn’t changed.
But there’s a difference between acknowledging a legitimate breach of trust and deliberately presenting information in a way that makes the situation look far more malicious than the evidence supports.
When people involved allegedly had concerns but never voiced them, when the chat was presented as exclusively female despite being mixed, and when questionable memes were highlighted without establishing actual predatory behavior, what exactly are we supposed to conclude?
I can acknowledge that trust was broken without buying into every accusation or implication being thrown around.
The original issue deserves scrutiny, but so does the way this entire situation was exposed and presented. Leaving out important context and framing things to create a more damning impression isn’t accountability. It’s manipulation.
At this point, I doubt there’s much more to come out, and I’m ready to put this behind me. But if there’s one thing this entire mess has reinforced, it’s that you need to be careful about trusting people online. At best, you might get lied to. At worst, someone you thought was on your side might put a knife in your back.
And that warning applies to EVERYONE involved in this mess.
Have a good day. I’m done with this shit.
Okay, now that I’m home and new information has come out, where do I stand?
Well, pretty much in the same fucking spot.
I still think Strawb is 100% a snake, and apparently, she’s been a pretty shitty friend to others as well, putting some of them in very difficult positions for no reason.
I said yesterday that even if it turned out Ember was a guy, IT WOULDN’T CHANGE A DAMN THING FOR ME.
Why? Because I’m not a parasocial retard. That’s why.
I mainly know of Ember through Elite Dangerous as a Fuel Rat, and I’d still have no problem flying with them in game sometime. A lot of Ember’s points, opinions, and stances don’t suddenly become invalid based on what’s swinging between their legs.
The needle doesn’t budge for me.
If anything, kudos to Ember for handling this situation as well as they have so far. And if Ember wants to be a babiniku, cool. That’s their business.
Oh, and I also looked over the synopsis of that old fictional story everyone keeps losing their minds over.
Fifty Shades is Worse in my mind.
And guess what? I STILL DON’T FUCKING CARE. IT’S FICTION.
Now, with all that said, I do have one issue with how Ember apparently handled things, and I want to make a very clear distinction here.
I’m NOT talking about streaming.
From what I’ve seen, Ember’s streams were pretty straightforward. I haven’t personally seen evidence of catfishing within that context, and simply presenting as a female character online isn’t inherently wrong.
Where I draw the line is potentially misleading people in private interactions.
Collaborating with other creators, particularly women but also men, having private voice calls, and exchanging DMs introduces a different dynamic if those people are operating under an assumption about your identity that you’ve knowingly encouraged but haven’t been honest about.
And before someone twists my words, I AM NOT ACCUSING EMBER OF SEXUAL MISCONDUCT OR CLAIMING ANYTHING INAPPROPRIATE HAPPENED.
I’m saying that if someone knowingly misrepresents themselves to gain access to private conversations, personal trust, romantic attention, or situations that another person would not have consented to had they known the truth, that’s a legitimate issue.
There’s a difference between playing a character online and deliberately deceiving someone in a personal relationship or private conversations.
That distinction matters to me.
But I’m not going to assume that happened simply because Ember presented as female. Someone’s gender presentation alone is not evidence of manipulation.
If documented evidence comes out showing that Ember deliberately exploited someone’s trust or boundaries, then I will absolutely call that out, and I will give no quarter.
I have standards, and I apply those standards regardless of who the person is.
But I want actual evidence. Not rumors, not assumptions, not selectively cropped screenshots, and not another internet game of telephone.
I hope Ember was completely straightforward during today’s stream and that nothing comes out later showing deliberate deception or misconduct.
Until then, I’m not moving based on speculation.
And none of this suddenly excuses how Strawb handled the situation, either. Two things can be true at once. Ember can deserve legitimate criticism for their own actions, if supported by evidence, while Strawb can still deserve criticism for the timing, methods, and treatment of someone who supported her for a long time. Because end of the day, she made a lucky guess, still nothing backed it up besides Ember on stream saying its true.
One doesn’t magically cancel out the other.
Honestly, this entire situation has been a massive pile of internet bullshit, and it’s another reminder of why I keep people online at arm’s length.
people wonder why I’m such a hard ass about trust and why I demand receipts before buying into someone’s accusations.
The 2 people above
This is exactly fucking why
Unless something substantial and verifiable comes out, Im done
I have had what seems to be widely considered an unpopular opinion or one that is outright wrong on this recent debacle and have somehow gained a bunch of followers despite that.
I don't deserve that.
I honestly kinda hate being how I am.
I've spent many, many years being forced to keep my real opinions to myself out of fear of being ostracized and villainized for them.
Even amongst my closest friends, I was the outlier. I was able to get comfortable enough to express my true thoughts, and though I wasn't hated or lost my friends because of them it was still incredibly lonely being the only one that had them.
Which is why I'm so open about my thoughts on Twitter now. I can speak my mind and know with certainty that I'm not alone. This place is my outlet because I have no other.
But I'm not proud of being as opinionated as I am.
I want to goof around more, but there's drama each and every day.
I'm an incredibly curious individual, but not studious nor eloquent by any means.
I take after my mother too much and can be too emotional to the point it clouds my rational.
These aren't good characteristics.
I hate drama. I engage in it because I lack the ability to hold myself back.
It's very difficult to hate people. I'm too sympathetic at times for my own good.
I've always had a habit of rooting for the underdog. It's not a thing I do out of virtue. I just see my own insecurities being reflected back at me.
At the end of the day, all I want is for things to improve for the betterment of everyone. I legitimately just want people to be happy.
Constant hate and vitriol is stupid and bad for the soul.
Anyway, what I was originally trying to say was don't follow me just because of drama. Please.
I'm just a dude.
I avoided commenting on this because I wanted to wait for more information and examples. But there's something that's come up that has me really annoyed now.
First, my opinion on what's shown in the screenshots. Which probably won't surprise any of you:
This is it? These are just casual conversations between friends. Yes, even in mixed sex friend groups. I would know. I HAVE touched grass before and have been around a variety of crowds.
Even more, they seem like conversations between women and specifically a gay man. I didn't know much about Ember before all this drama outside of being a decent person. And yesterday was the first time I ever attended one of his streams. So I don't actually know if he's gay, but in these screenshots he really comes across as one.
Maybe Ember really brings out his feminine side, idk.
Either way, these screenshots are a very terrible attempt at painting Ember in a bad light.
Now, what was it that has me annoyed enough to speak preemptively before more examples have been shown?
BananaJuJu and Leaflit have both confirmed that there were OTHER MEN included in the chat.
This revaluation has me losing my mind, dude. What are doing? Seriously?
Was Ember wrong for lying? Yes. Was trust broken? Yes. Does that excuse how Strawb went about it? In my opinion, no. Especially not after all this.
I'm so tired, man. This really does come across as a witch hunt at some point.
I'm practically begging for there to be something incredibly condemning against Ember past the gender thing so we can get everyone back on board again.
This drama is so retarded.
