It is an incredible feeling when you are the last man/team standing in an event which saw 12,500 individuals form over 9550 teams from 113 countries!

Show your numbers in Parliament and the ballot, not the streets!
And if the way to those seems unjust, show the courts!
That is the democratic way!
Hijacking the streets and holding the public infrastructure and law and order machinery to ransom is the actual “murder of democracy”!
Tremendous grit and determination to ensure safety of all on board.
Bravo Captain Smit Machchar! 👏👏👏👏

⚠️ New details on what happened inside the Flydubai cockpit, in Captain Smit Machchar’s own account to the Israeli PM:
1️⃣ The flight was normal. The co-pilot said he wanted to pray, something Machchar says was not unusual among local pilots.
2️⃣ Machchar faced forward while the co-pilot prayed behind him.
3️⃣ Four or five minutes later, Machchar says he was suddenly struck hard on the back of his head.
4️⃣ His first thought was catastrophic aircraft damage. Then the blows kept coming. He realised it was the co-pilot attacking him.
5️⃣ The initial blows left his vision severely blurred. He tried to fight back, but says he could barely see.
6️⃣ His next sensation was the aircraft plunging sharply. His memory of these moments remains fragmented.
7️⃣ He recalls managing to open the cockpit door once, but says the co-pilot apparently shut it again.
8️⃣ Lying on the cockpit floor, he could hear the aircraft rushing through the air and passengers screaming.
9️⃣ Machchar says he realised he had “one last fight” left. His thought was brutally simple: if he didn’t act, he was going to die.
🔟 He threw everything he had into reaching and opening the cockpit door. People outside were waiting to pounce. They entered, control was regained.

I don’t think I’ve ever teared up on live TV—I think I did speaking to Vithya Ramraj, daughter of a truck driver, who brings back 3 medals from the Asian Games. 🇮🇳♥️ teapawt.net/ndtv/status/2105349834…

Watch it once. Watch it again. Watch it again and again. You will not see many better outfield catches in cricket.
Everything was right about it. Covered the ground early on, long strides. Full stretch dive making best use of his height and landed smoothly so that the ball does not pop out of the hand. Especially liked how he got to floor on his fore arm than the elbow.
What a catch! One of the classic ones.

Mohsin Naqvi knew India will refuse to take the Asia Cup Trophy moment he turns up at the India vs Lanka finals in Dubai last night. And he knew he will be hailed by Pakistani media as a hero for snatching yet another Trophy from India.
And Pakistan will forget their horror story on the England tour. Mohsin Naqvi the politician will cover up for the failures of Mohsin Naqvi the cricket administrator.

We left Finland and moved to India with our children—without ever visiting India before. 🇫🇮🇮🇳
The beginning was challenging: temporary housing, unfamiliar systems and endless paperwork. But slowly, Mumbai became home.
Our children found friends, discovered new food, rode auto-rickshaws and embraced a completely new way of life. 🌱
We still miss Finland’s quiet, fresh air and our family there. But our children aren’t asking when we’re going back.
We came to India to give them a wider world. We never imagined India would become a part of ours.

What @IamSanjuSamson told @surya_14kumar is something every captain would love to hear: a player putting the team’s interests ahead of his own place in the side. Good things happen to good people. Given his chance, Sanju responded with three brilliant innings and played his part in taking India to the World Cup title!

What @palkisu is saying makes sense. When algorithms become teachers, reels become textbooks , virality becomes truth, when reading disappears, it is misinformation that flourishes. An uninformed generation can be a potential national security risk.

Couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this news.
Of course, India is a global force in shooting, but most of our success has come in rifle & pistol events.
Trap and skeet have always been much tougher to crack, demanding a very different ecosystem of ranges, coaching and competition.
That’s what makes Neeru Dhanda’s victory so special.
To win an ISSF World Cup gold in trap is one thing. To do it at Lonato, which is one of the sport’s most iconic venues and a place every shotgun shooter reveres, is another.
Clay target shooting has long been a European stronghold and is a discipline many Americans proudly regard as their own. Which is why Neeru’s gold feels like such a breakthrough.
Congratulations, Neeru. May this be the first of many more podiums. 🇮🇳
