Sniping is another problem addressed by the Verus protocol. A currency doesn't exist until its startblock, a minimum number of blocks enforced by the protocol between the currency definition and launch. This gives anyone on the network a little advance notice about every launch. Liquidity pools have a prelaunch phase during which initial liquidity can be contributed, and everyone who contributes during prelaunch gets the same price for whichever currency they contributed when the pool launches regardless of how early or late they are within the prelaunch. Additionally, conversions are grouped together across multiple blocks and give all transactions in the group the same pricing, which means a dumper could get piled on with others that dump at the same time, with everyone exiting at the same price and sharing the slippage. Less predatory conversions incentivize collaborative liquidity with an opportunity for people to have their opposing conversion bundled and reduce slippage, giving a better price for all parties.
