I have been stunned by the collapse in American voter support for Israel in recent years.
My League of American Workers poll of heartland Wisconsin this summer found only 26% of voters viewed Israel favorably.
Among Gen Z, the number falls to just 8%. Among Black voters, it sinks to 7%.
Only one group holds a net positive view of Israel: senior citizens.
Vice President Vance is right that we have to change our relationship with Israel.
Voters want their leaders to put America First.

JD Vance is the highest-level politician to even suggest that we'd talk about the US's relationship with Israel. This messaging is off the cuff and likely not something he consulted with his "press managers" about.
The trend is clear tho... A lot of Americans either don't care or are actively critical of the "relationship". Only a tiny minority actively support it.
Now they are gonna call JD Vance an antisemite, Nazi, etc...
But at the end of the day, it's not gonna matter.

לפני שלוש שנים ביטלתי את הפטור שלי והתגייסתי לצה״ל במלחמה. גדלתי בחברה החרדית, והתגייסתי כדי לקחת חלק במה שחשבתי אז שהוא הגנה על המדינה. לא דמיינתי שעם סיום השירות הצבאי שלי, במקום לטוס לטיול הגדול או להתחיל לימודים, אני אשבור שתיקה ובטח לא העליתי בדעתי שאבחר לקחת חלק משמעותי אפילו יותר בארגון ולהתחיל לעבוד בו.
במערך דובר צה"ל נחשפתי לא רק למציאות בגדה המערבית ובעזה, אלא גם לאופן שבו צה״ל בוחר להציג אותה לציבור. ראיתי עד כמה גדולה השליטה של דובר צה"ל בעיצוב תמונת המציאות שלנו, ולמשחק הבעייתי שלו עם האמת כאילו הוא עוד גוף יח"צ ולא חס וחלילה גוף שמחוייב לציבור. מטרת העבודה של דו"ץ מול הציבור הישראלי הוגדרה לנו כחיזוק אמון הציבור בצה"ל. זכות הציבור לדעת הייתה משנית במקרה הטוב. מטרת העבודה מול הקהל הבינלאומי הוגדרה כחיזוק והרחבת הלגיטימציה לפעולות הצבא. גם כאן, המחיר היה האמת.
בשירות שלי שיחקתי עם הפרטים שיוצאים לתקשורת, ראיתי איך המילה מחבל מוצמדת גם לפלסטינים חפים מפשע ואיך ההודעה נתפרת בהתאם לקהל היעד והמטרה שהוצבה מולו.
אף פעם לא הייתי טובה בלשתוק מול עוולות ופה התבקשתי לעשות להן יח"צ. למדתי איך לנסח עשרות מתים בתקיפה אחת ולהוסיף על אוטומט שאנו מצרים על כל פגיעה בבלתי מעורבים. זו הייתה שגרת השירות שלי.

Don’t Nod, the studio behind the original Life is Strange, is collapsing.
The French developer is facing a near-total layoff, up to 85 jobs, which would leave its French teams with only a small number of employees.
The studio has struggled with a string of underperforming releases, the most recently the sci-fi adventure Aphelion.
Don’t Nod has warned that it may not have enough funding to continue operating beyond January 31, 2027, and has entered a French “safeguard” procedure to restructure its finances.
