Good morning. Closing arguments are set to begin in the Tupac murder trial. I am in the courtroom. Tupac's family is in the front row as they have been throughout this trial- sitting behind the prosecutors. Follow this thread we get more info @FOX5Vegas
Defense also went for more than an hour. Now it’s the states turn for a rebuttal.
We have been hearing closing arguments since 9 am it’s now 1:30 pm.
Davis keeps looking back at now Investigator Clifford Mogg who works for the DA office. Mogg used to be a detective for Metro- investigated Davis but in court it was revealed he never made an officer’s report. Defense called Mogg out as one of the people who didn’t testify.
Defense starts closing:
"Metro's investigation was compromised.. you have a detective concerned about his file that he locked it up.. another detective had to create a false case number to hide people from unauthorized access"
We are taking another quick break because Davis isn’t feeling well. He was coughing a lot toward the end of the state’s closing arguments.
The state went for just over an hour.
state : "Why would he create a story that would make him legally liable for murder"
Quick 10 min bathroom break for everyone.
state : "Mr. Davis confensions are direct evidence of a crime
"This case is drenched with circumstantial evidence"
State in closing says : "This notion of corroboration does not exist in the law its absolutely untrue"
Sanft asks to approach the judge.
State continues.
Good afternoon. I am in the courtroom today. The defense team for Duane Keffe D Davis is expected to bring in their own set of witnesses of law enforcement officers.
Follow this thread as we get more information. @FOX5Vegas
Long interviewed Davis in CA. He was ready to arrest him for murder.
"We brought back the recording and transcripts over the DA reviewed it and they told me they weren’t going forward with prosecution at that time because they were a lot of complications"
