Lovely morning on community walk to the Museum of Rural Life in Rojales. Very pleasant 8km stroll through field and orchards. Local Mayor led the charge. Everyone treated to water and sandwiches on arrival. Interesting Museum.Didnt know that flax had been a staple in this area.
Amazing to see how far the kittens have come from the not-very-well little scraps they were on arrival c 8 weeks old to now c 16 weeks old. And each of them so affectionate and friendly ...

At 14 years she is elderly herself and she might not automatically take to a newcomer. In a similar situation we were advised against getting a single new kitten - better to get 2, so they would amuse themselves if she got tired of kitten behaviour. Fairer on the kittens too.

So Iain confined to bedroom. With loud TV on.
Much fresher today. A balmy 32 degrees and low humidity. Fiesta week being announced by Church Bells and Fire Crackers...
What a difference 3 weeks makes... Little Lucia arrived 3 weeks ago today. She is still the smallest of the 3 but her eyes are clear and she's filling out. She's also the most adventurous.
Things I didn't know happen in high temperatures like this ( c. 40c) . Magnets losing power ( things falling off walls); electronics misbehaving - cutting out, slowing down. Also that there's such a thing as "Thermal Burst" winds- they are closing all the beaches in case...
