Thrilled and grateful to share our recent publication in @CirculationEP, comparing left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) with oral anticoagulation in atrial fibrillation. 🫀
Across 6 RCTs and over 7k patients:
🔹 LAAC was associated with a higher risk of ischemic stroke but a lower risk of nonprocedural major bleeding.
🔹 Overall stroke, major bleeding, and mortality were not significantly different.

When should PCI be performed relative to TAVR? We tried to provide insights into this question by comparing same-day PCI/TAVR vs TAVR <30 days after PCI and TAVR >30 days after PCI. We also performed cubic spline analysis to look at the trend over time.
