Observation #12 in MIN win vs INDY (I missed one!). At this stage in the season, you start to wonder if you are seeing a Viking Defense that gets whispered in the same conversation as the Ravens 2000 and Bears 1985 teams

Observation #20 in MIN win vs INDY – Harrison Smith showed you why he is still a Viking with his game-sealing INT, and Daniel Jones showed you why he is not the QB in Minnesota. Vikes go to 6-0.

Observation #19 in MIN win vs INDY – When you have a poor offense, you better play clean (penalties) and turnover free. The Vikings did both today in the win.

Observation #18 in MIN win vs INDY– An offense that has TJ Hockenson, Justin Jefferson, and Jordan Addison can’t lack explosiveness. I would recommends KOC get help from Brian Flores to help him dissect what defenses are doing, and where his WRs or QB are coming up short.

Observation #17 in MIN win vs INDY– When the Viking defense guesses on pass on 3rd and short, and when they do, they leave big gaping holes for opposing offenses to pick up the 1st down. The one downside to the constant, aggressive pressure.

Observation #16 in MIN win vs INDY – The Colt offense was just effective enough to keep the Viking offense off the field. They showed other teams the old rule that a good screen pass game can beat a fast pass rush.

Observation #15 in MIN win vs INDY – If Kyler Murray does not find a receiver quickly in rhythm, he seems to struggle to find any secondary receiver. A pro QB has to be able to find outlets receivers and receivers underneath when the primary is not open.

Observation #14 in MIN win vs INDY– Today was a lesson on Defense winning Championships. They do, but the offense IS going to be needed as this schedule moves to its toughest part.

Observation #13 in MIN win vs INDY – In the 2nd half, Brian Flores really dialed-up the 6-man blitz and when he did, the pressure was immediate and it enabled his DBs to cover for a short enough time that no options existed for Daniel Jones.

Observation #11 in MIN win vs INDY– Kyler Murray can run, which is a blessing, but we need him to be effective passing more than we need his wheels to win games. Not sure why he is struggling so much to be consistent as a passer.

Observation #10 in MIN win vs INDY – The Viking pass rush was ferocious again, but Indy found that using slants was very effective pick up the yardage on 3rd and long. Somehow, the slant pattern was retired in the Viking offense when KOC got to Minnesota.
