In the 90s bands made these cringe, grandiose statements about synths, eg these two from Cannibal Corpse and Rage Against The Machine. It seems so quaint and silly in hindsight, like "lmao why were you so upset about keyboards??" It'll be exactly the same with AI.

Whenever I see this in YouTube videos, I cringe a little. Mostly because the editing tools these creators use DEFINITELY employ AI processing and were likely developed using agentic systems... But also because this is such reductive virtue signaling we'll laugh at in 10 years.
