Reading these words from UCU members it is clear how utterly demoralised and devalued staff at Chester feel. And some staff are still at risk of redundancy.
There is only one way we fight this. Every member must attend the Rally to Reclaim our University on 24th July.

Staff are being treated like they are ‘disposable commodities with no feeling of permanence at the university’. ‘We suffer for the mistakes of management’. Management do ‘not appear to have considered staff morale or well being in any way’. ‘The institution is increasingly being run like a dictatorship’. Last week our VC accused ‘disillusioned staff’ of damaging student conversion rates. Senior management never look to the role their own actions play in torching the institution’s reputation, staff and unions who speak out are always blamed.
